Komwell multi function blood cholesterol tester
The product arrived earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. I purchased because I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and triglycerides. I am currently on statins which have some nasty side effects. My intention is to find alternative methods in order to get off the statins.I followed the instructions to the letter and both myself and my girlfriend (who has similar health issues) obtained accurate readings first time without any problems. The instructions seem a little daunting at first glance, but is really just common sense after some thought. The lance or finger pricker is painless and collecting a small blood sample is child’s play.I would thoroughly recommend this machine if you want to keep a regular check on your blood cholesterol and triglycerides.Easy to use, performs exactly how I hoped, appears to be extremely accurate and at the price I paid is a valuable tool that will help me experiment with alternative methods and rid myself of these awful statins.

Total cholesterol
For the machine that measures both hdl and ldl these are not suitable as they only measure total hdl as far as I can see.

Works very well
Ok it took a few goes to get it rightBut I think I've got it nowFor best results:Make sure you get the required amount of blood into the pipette, right up to the black marker and put it all in the sample holeMine came measured in mg/dl, I wanted it in mmol/LI emailed support and they were very quick to reply(Hold down the left arrow and press the on button together for 15secs)Once you've pricked your finger ( it does not hurt at all), make sure you squeeze the finger base to extract a good dollop of blood, keep 'vacuuming' it up with the pipette. It travels up through capillary action and requires no effortSeems to work very well. I'll use it regularly as my doc wants me to go on statins but I want to try the diet route first
