Top 10 Range Tools
This is one of my recent favorite purchases! Honestly it’s a slim sheet of material yet feels durable! I was handling it without care and it hasn’t tornor damaged! This silhouette is awesome because it helped me make my cut outs for my rubber targets and paint the zones as well. I love how easy it is to use and how it’s helped me get a visual impact for my target accuracy. For the time this saved me it’s great for the price very useful and can be used more than once! I would recommend this for anyone who wants to make targets out of cardboard or rubber like I did.Edit: 5/18/25After 2 range days and multiple uses on my rubber targets, I can still say the stencil is holding up great even after multiple layers of dried paint through it. The quality of the stencil is still great and I have added more pictures to this review.

Great item
This item makes it so easy to make targets out of scrap cardboard. Great value for the money. Works well with a Sharpie marker. Haven’t tried it with paint. Dimensions are spot on.

Something to consider…
First things first, this really is a great idea and it does work but it’s far from perfect. The tip of the paint pen got caught in a slot on the stencil and pulled out. That was a mess to clean up because paint spilled out everywhere. Alcohol and a whole bunch of paper towels cleaned it up though. Our next attempt was with a sharpie. That worked well, but more alcohol and paper towels. A little annoying. Finally, the wife suggested we use a dry erase marker. That was the solution. Dry erase ink lays down well on paper and is very dark. The clean up was a simple wipe of the stencil with a felt whiteboard eraser. We used a roll of brown uncoated butcher paper as the target medium instead of scrap cardboard. Once all of that was figured out, the process of making targets went flawlessly. The only complaint I have with this is the lack of letters which are shown in the photos. This isn’t a deal breaker, but if this is something you want it doesn’t have them. “O.S.T.” was cut out at the bottom though, so letters should have been cut out as well. The Mylar material is very durable and my 13 year old ended up making so many targets that we’ll probably never need another target again. Overall, I feel like this was a good purchase but I’m giving it 4 stars for the initial cost, the lack of letters and the terrible paint pen. If you start with dry erase markers and a roll of butcher/package paper, you won’t regret getting one of these.
