Faithfull FAIMMR10 Masonry and Mortar Rake / Router.

Excellent quality and value. Works very well at removing lime mortar (which is what I bought it for), but does struggle a little with harder cement mortar. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Useful tool for cleaning out old mortar before pointing. On larger jobs an angle grinder would be needed especially for harder sections. Best used on a drill with extra side grip handle to prevent the tool drifting and damaging brick faces. Decent quality even so it’s still subject to wear especially on harder mortar where a grinder is better.

Used to mortar away 10-12mm mortar joints with ease. The item does however struggle against properly set in mortar but against water and frost penetrated mortar it routes it away with ease.

Gets the soft stuff out and the remains after it’s been ground out. It struggles a bit with hard mortar. But with this in mind it’s an helpful tool and worth the money

I bought this to clean out the gaps in between a stone patio. Some of the mortar was very stubborn to move, but this little router cleaned out 20 square meters. Very pleasing.

I exposed an old chimney breast inside and wanted to re-point. This was perfect, used it with my hand drill and it allowed me to keep the dust under control. Removed the old mortar with ease and still has plenty of life left in it.

Not sure how long this will last but so far I have used it on a 3m x 6m patio with good results. Have a smaller area and a pathway to do ( next year) here’s hoping in does that as well

I'm renovating an old stone house and I'm having to repoint the entire building. This is perfect for raking out the joints between the stonework and it's not as harsh as using a hammer and chisel. The bit lasted quite a while before having to be replaced. So pleased I ordered a few, made the job much easier.

This bit is fantastic. Raked the joints of a bottom half of a side of the house.

This is an excellent tool. I used one to rake out the mortar joints of over 160 sq ft of a stone foundation with soft & hard mortar. Well, after that it was toast, but did more than I expected. Ordered two more. I'm guessing it's made from good English steel. Highly recommend this bit.

I was a little sceptical at first using a drill bit but, to my surprise this bit plowed out approximately 70 lin ft. of 80+ year old mortar from my block foundation. The bit is now toast so it will take another 1 or 2 bits to finish the job. Only gave 4 stars as the bits are a little pricy especially if you need more than 2 or 3.
