Already made some meals based on recipes from this book. Some translations are not exactly as they should be, however it doesn't pose any big problem. What concerned me a lot though was that recipe for Kolace says specific amount of flour, however the picture shows the though with more cups of flower added than stated in the recipe. I advise to strictly follow the measurements and do not consider the pictures as a lead, since it might result in inaccurate, and overly dry Kolace.Other than that, I like the variety of these recipes and great introduction. The book has some amazing pictures.

Bought this to try my hand at some of the recipes we had experienced on a holiday in Prague. It is well written and easy to follow. It came quickly and well packaged.

This book is invaluable to me as I have a Slovakian partner and trying to learn different ways to cook. My partner went through the book and said 'thats one of my favourites' quite a few times, so was an excellent purchase for me

Very good book. The book contains detailed recipes of the most popular Slovak and Czech meals and cakes. I would strongly recommend to anybody who likes cooking and trying out different cuisines. If the recipe contains any ingredient which is not obtainable outside Eastern Europe, the book gives you useful alternatives available in Western market. I love it!

I've only made a couple of recipes so far, but they've both been lovely. The pictures and information in the book is really well done. A great book, and really interesting.

Like many cook books it is necessary to be selective about the recipes to try out. Many of them are extremely rich and fattening. As a guide to Czech and Slovak cooking it is very thorough and the illustrations are superb.
