Cisco SB Gigabit Dual WAN VPN router 4 x gigabit, RV042G-K9-EU (4 x gigabit)

This router is excellent, for the price with many features. however the VPN setup can be a challenge and you may need to ask Cisco how to configure it as I did - they don't follow the manual exactly.Also the remote management may work for 2 - 4 weeks and then stop allowing access. Not googd for managing VPN accounts.Solution is to have a person power it off and on. then remote management returns.Only small issue in an excellent product.Used it with a fibre broadband service with the terminatino unit acting as a bridge. Hope this helps.

The router is good but I bought 2 in June 2013 and both had firmare dated February 2012. Upgraded OK via the net. I got these to run an IPSEC VPN between two offices and they works well with the firmware update.I am in England but these units only come with continental 2-pin power supplies. My supplier, AlpsPC refused to replace the PSUs. In fairness to them they did offer to take the routers back for a refund.

Don't really know what this product is like, I assume it's a bit better than the 10/100 they sent us. We needed the router as quickly as possible so we just kept it.I would expect a refund of the difference but not holding my breath.Sneakily sent documentation as the gigabit router but in the box hey-presto the 10/100
