Q: What length of lights to get for indoor party decor? Have some 10 foot, 29" round poles to wrap. and beams.

If your posts are 29" in diameter, the circumference (distance around) is Pi x 29, or 91". So each wrap of lights will need 91 inches of lights. If instead you mean that the posts are 29" in circumference (ie, around), they would be about 9" in diameter. For that, each string of lights would wrap around the post about 14 times. If you want the wraps 6" apart (for example), get two 33' strands of lights.

Q: I want to string these along my roof and chimney. Is there a way to control the lights without having to use a ladder every day?

if you plug them in a long string, like attaching one to the other. I have 10 strings all attached to one another, one box converting the power and it works great. The switch on the box controls the blinking speeds or on solid, etc. I have mine plugged into a timer and it will go on and off with timer and stay on the setting I had for the light pattern.

Mine are plugged into heavy duty extension cord and I placed a brick on top of connection. We've had tons of rain and NEVER encountered any problem with these lights. I love the look on my wooden fence and had received many compliments. Would order again.
