The owl is soft and has rubber feet, which our little one loves to chew at the moment due to teething, couldn't ask for a better product, Love this owl!Although I agree with other reviewers that there could be more padding around the owls sound box, I didn't feel this posed too much of a problem and my child hasn't hurt themselves on it. This is my 4 month olds favorite of the melody toys by far (and we have a lot). This owl goes everywhere with us lately and it definitely helps soothe my daughter and helps her stay asleep. She likes to hold it, cuddle with it and chew on the feet too (they are a hard teething/chew safe material). You can let it play for the 15+mins or to shut if off early, you just press and hold the on/grow/start button. The Volume is reasonable (although not adjustable) and the music isn’t annoying or over the top. The toy is easy to wash and overall a hit at our house. If you have a baby that doesn’t like to sleep or stay asleep it’s worth a try!
