Cost effective solution
A better quality solution to eyes needing different correction would be nice, but this does work so far.I purchased to help headaches caused by cataract removal being in one eye at a time and my reading glasses no longer being appropriate.

Blurry
These glenses are too blurry. Although I love the idea. I am very disappointed with how blurry they are. Vision is clearer with the cheap standard glasses.

Great concept
Loved my pair as long as it lasted. The connection piece on the bridge is weak and that’s where they broke in half. They’re really expensive so I took extra care when using them, but the plastic connection gave way and broke. 😢

this is an absolutely amazing idea!
As a very young child I had a strabizma in my left eye (a/k/a lazy eye). I had 2 surgeries and by age 10, I no longer had to wear glasses., even got my pilot's licence at 20 ! I am now a 75 yr. old woman who has eye problems. When reading, I am now starting to see double (as in double page or sentences). Lazy Eye returned. I have been keeping my left eye closed or squinting it. I even tried an eye patch to cover that eye. I was on Amazon looking for scratch free reading glasses when I saw this product. What a brilliant idea ! I ordered a stronger lens for the left eye and it works perfectly! I am so pleased. This is the first review I have ever written, but felt I should pass on my excellent experience. I saw a review here that suggested the connector piece was flimsy. Not my experience. I think you would have to be a gorilla to have a problem. I am not the least bit good with finicky stuff and I panicked when I didn't see any instructions. Didn't need them. First effort worked effortlessly.... AND they are scratch resistant. Win,Win.!

Excellent, affordable option. Just be careful with the joint.
These are great readers. They're an easy, elegant, and reasonably affordable solution to a very common problem: your left eye often has a different reading strength from your right.Quality: high, but with a weakness. The overall build and quality is better than most plastic readers and approaches (but is still shy of) the quality of my prescription Ray-Bans - at less than 1/10th the cost. The lenses are nice and clear with no noticeable distortion. Decent style. The main caveat is a weakness at the bridge joint. I've gone through a few pairs by now. I hang these readers from my collar; rarely but occasionally they will drop on the hardwood, which weakens the joints. The joints have lasted me anywhere from 4 to 12 months before they weaken or break. Super glue can fix a weak joint for another 2-6 months. If I set them down between use, rather than hanging them on my collar, they would probably last longer.I've been treating these as semi-disposable. I have a tendency to lose reading glasses regularly anyway. These are much cheaper than paying several hundred for prescription readers. YMMV if you never lose your readers.Fit: very goodThey have a nice snug and comfortable fit. They don't slip at all - not even if I look down or bang my head to Bohemian Rhapsody a la Wayne's World. My face is perhaps a bit on the narrow side for an adult male, so they might be a bit tight on those with broader or rounder faces. I think the arms expand out about 3/8" on either side. The frames: solidYou order two arms - one for the custom strength of the left eye, another custom strength for the right eye - and then snap them together. Once joined, they look and feel like a solid, single, unified frame. There's no visible seam. The joint doesn't slip. You can't create a gap by twisting or pulling the frames. It's solid. You'd never know by looking at them, even up close, that they started as two separate pieces. The pieces won't accidentally separate at the bridge. In fact, separating the arms would probably require a deliberate, tedious effort with a small screw driver. My experience: very good, except for the weak bridge joint. My left eye is about 2.00, my right eye ~1.50.My cheap readers are 1.75 for both eyes. I never thought there was any problem with them. Now I know better.Having the correct strength for both eyes is a substantial improvement. Everything (including small text) is much sharper and clearer. These custom readers have dramatically reduced my eye strain.By contrast, when I occasionally switch back to my 1.75 x 1.75 readers, my eyes start to feel strained after just 5-10 minutes. Now that each eye is used to more accurate strengths, I realize how poorly suited my old compromise readers were for spending hours in front of the computer or viewing fine detail like ingredients on jars. Also included:These glasses come with a microfiber cloth and a stiff, protective case.Photo notes: the last two images show the difference in style between the new fade-to-clear style (black with a fade to clear at the bottom of the lens frame) and the all black. With the former, the plastic over the springs is clear. With the all black, you can't see the springs.

Brilliant idea - works great
I have mono-vision contacts with one eye optimal for reading and one for distance. I've needed reading glasses where one eye is close to zero correction while the other is significant. I've resorted to popping a lens out of basic drugstore reading glasses. Custom reading glasses can be made but are expensive. These snap-together glasses are great to get the right correction for each eye. General quality, the case, looks, etc. are above average in quality too. No hesitation recommending them.

Great glasses except in black - Update
I bought 4 pair of these in increasing strengths for different distances. The most used pair I bought in black. The connection is weak compared to the other color frames and now I have purchased 2 left sides to fix the issue. Didn't work. The other 3 pair are doing just fine, so don't buy black.I am updating this as two more pair have now broken. The issue is the flimsy plastic connection on the left eye piece. It is at the nose of all places and not strong enough to handle day-to-day wear over time. Great concept. Lousy implementation. They need to make these metal, not plastic. I have invested too much money in these and will let the rest break over time and in the garbage.
