My task was to replace old incandescent tube mood lighting behind living room cabinets that were installed 20 odd years' ago. At the time these were the best solution.Today, however, with the advent of LEDs there's a simpler solution. Namely COB ( chip-on-board) LED Strip lights. Apparently it's a more recent development that gives us a greater density of LEDs and thus a more uniform light.The small box ( pictured) comes with the 3metres of LED strip, a UK 3pin plug/DC24v adaptor ( in one piece), a small RF remote, a controller and a manual ( in the pic you can see it's headed: Usear Manuel 😃 - perhaps they wrote it!) .There's a good metre of cable ( I think the site says 1.24cm ) to attach the plug lead to the small LED controller ( about 16cm long). The LED strip connects into the controller and the plug lead into that. In my case there was ample distance from the LED strip ( now stuck in place to the wall) and the wall socket. You may have to buy a suitable extension lead should your electric socket be further away.It's a simple job to remove the 3m sticky tape and affix the strip to the wall.My cabinets didn't require the full 3metre length and it's an easy job to cut to size with scissors at the copper coloured metal connector.It was just a case of plug in and switch on. Easy.The remote switches the lights on/off and remembers your last brightness level. You can manually change the brightness from very bright right down to very dim .Alternatively there are preset buttons from 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% & 10%.Very simple to use.I'm delighted with the product as I was thinking of having to remove the heavy & bulky cabinets and getting in a sparky to change the original fittings . That would've been a huge and expensive job.These are essentially posh Christmas tree lights I suppose but do what they say on the tin.

Love these led strip lights! They are perfect for adding light in my conservatory. Nice addition of a remote control with multiple options for brightness and mode. Good quality, and relatively good priced. Easy to fix and high quality light. Would highly recommend.

Bought this for a little craft project on a canvas and it did the job perfectly. I'm a bit nervous of having it on full power though as they do get very hot. Saying that, full power is so bright, it's not necessary for my purpose. Easy to use and the adjustable dimmer remote is a handy feature.

Great value and easy to install. Took us 15 mins to put together using a slim aluminium profile housing. Stepwise dimming function is very useful. Let’s see how long it will last.

Great product looks fantastic

Plugged it in and immediately heard Electrical crackling noises from the plug. Followed by an electrical burning smell. Was plugged in less than 30 seconds before it packed in and turned itself off for good. Sent back for a refund will look at other alternatives.

Very pleased with this item. Used to light up large display dresser which has individual display shelfs behind glass doors. Strip narrow enough to fit through gaps in wood and lighting effect can be dimmed by remote control to subtle warm glow which showcases contents perfectly. Adheres very well and wish I’d thought of using led strips before now as have relied on two sets of battery lights which drained quickly. Will save me fortune in batteries in long run

This is a decent quality COB strip which outputs a good amount of light with a nice warm tone and has a nice uniform spread. There is an adhesive strip on the back which seems to hold well enough as long as you degrease the surface and give it 24 hours or so after sticking it on to set. The power cable is just over a metre in length, which should cover most applications. The strip itself can easily be cut to length if required. An RF remote is supplied, which means that it doesn't need direct line of sight to operate. The remote works well and controls on/off as well as brightness and a basic timer function.So overall I am impressed with these lights. For the price they work very well, are easy top fix and have a decent remote function.
