Not a huge fan of filters, but this is nice
I don't like filters very much - the few horror stories of dropping a lens aren't outweighed by the cost and decrease in quality from the otherwise perfectly engineered lens. But I have been taking my X100F to the mountains on a multi-year adventure of climbing the 9 tallest peaks in my state, and I sometimes worry that my little camera is going to get bumped around, so I bought one of these to protect the lens. I have the silver and black version of the camera, so this thing blends right in. It's not completely low profile, but no one who didn't know the camera would know that it's not just a part of it.I eventually took it off because I was starting to see some artifacts coming through on the pictures - some fogging, and due to the nature of the camera, the filter is relatively far away from the front element, so I had even a few moments where the lens was trying to focus on the filter. That was very very rare, and I don't think a normal behavior. The thing is that this filter style and look is probably the coolest you are going to find for the X100 series cameras.

Nice low profile UV filter for a unique camera but I prefer another manufacturer
I have an x100f camera which is the exact same lens as the x100v (all of the x100 series, actually). Anyway, I ordered this UV filter because it seems a lower profile than the UV filter that I was currently using. So, when I received it, it actually looked better than the pictures on the sales page. If you notice on the manufacturer's picture there seems to be a very rough edge on the front of the filter by the glass. Well, the sample I got there was a slightly (really slight) rougher area than other areas on that edge. So that was a good sign. They knurling on the sides of the filter is good enough, sort of like the rest of the item, slightly rough, but at least it provides a good grip. On the camera, installation was easy enough, it screw onto the outside of the lens like it should, again the threading seemed a little rougher than I was expecting. not sure about the UV power, but at least my autofocus worked well and pictures looked undistorted. So in short, this is a pretty good UV filter for the Fuji x100 series camera, if you are willing to like with a few little rough areas. For the price, it is useful and once on, I doubt it will leave the camera.
