As a former skin care specialist, I’ve tried my share (and then some) of skincare products, often with disappointing results. That’s why I am so jazzed about how AWESOME this serum performs, and actually does what it claims to! Now, this is a serum, meaning it’s a concentrated formula designed to treat (in this instance) dry, dehydrated skin. Generally serums should be used after cleansing, but prior to moisturizing. (Yes, you’ll still want to moisturize for optimal results.)So here’s what I love:☑️ The ingredients, such as algae extracts and hyaluronic acid are very high quality, and truly help infuse the skin with loads of moisture, AND improve the skin’s ability to RETAIN said moisture.☑️ Absorbs well into the skin, so no lingering tackiness after applying and working in.☑️ The serum has a light, wonderfully clean scent that is so refreshing! Nothing perfume-y or noxious about it, just nice and natural. I’m obsessed!!!☑️ A single pump is plenty for me to cover my face and press the excess into my neck as well. So this bottle should last me a good while.☑️ Best of all, IT FREAKING WORKS!!! I didn’t even think I had much dryness since I follow a great skincare regime. However, after almost a week, I can see improved suppleness, a softening of fine lines, and a smoother texture and tone. I am sold, folks!🔘 One note: the pump on my serum was a little cranky at first, refusing to pump out any serum after a bunch of tries. I unscrewed the cap, pumped it a bit while it was out of the bottle. Then, when I put the pump back in, it worked perfectly! So if you notice any pump issues, maybe try the above and see if that helps.Really, this is an amazing product that not only improves hydration levels, but also helps your skin to lock it in, creating deeper, more lasting results than many serums on the market. (Ingredients list is at the bottom of this review.)I really like the Ren Everhydrate Marine Moisture-Restore Serum (30ml). It's not just another hydrating serum. It has some definite distinguishing features in its ingredients list. It truly is a lovely formulation that I enjoy using.This is a thicker, viscous serum with a somewhat cloudy appearance. It glides on the skin smoothly and saturates the skin with hydration. It sinks into the skin nicely, but it doesn't disappear into nothing. It leaves a tangible, lasting layer of hydration present on the surface of the skin. It makes the skin look dewy, hydrated, and healthy-looking. It layers well with other skincare products of various kinds. My dry, sensitive skin really responds well to this serum, with zero signs of irritation.The packaging is a pretty, clear, glass bottle with a grey pump. The pump is very functional. The packaging is nice to look at. The scent is a lovely, light, floral scent. It is not at all overpowering. It adds to the sensorial experience, in my opinion.Overall, I really like this serum, and I'm so happy to have it in my regular skincare routine. I like the consistency of this serum, very thin and lightweight. The serum has a very light, pleasant scent...fades pretty quickly. The serum itself does take some time to absorb and it is sticky until it does. However, once absorbed, it left my skin so soft and moisturized, with noticeable plumping. Overall, great serum, would recommend!

I’ve discovered a lot of good serums, but few have elicited excitement on my part. This Ren Everhydrate Marine serum is one of the best I’ve tried. Even though it feels a little tacky to the touch when I first apply it, the serum absorbs quickly and fully, leaving my face feeling soft and hydrated without my having to add moisturizer on top. I’ve been using it for over a week, and my face continues to feel and look good without any hint of surface product. My only minor complaint is that it lacks a lock on the pump or a cap. I have more serums and lotions sitting on my shelves than I care to admit. What I’ve noticed is that most decent serums tend to be a thin liquid-like clear or milky texture. This one was different. I immediately noticed that it felt thicker, more like a gel, and sticky. The stickiness multiplied upon use. It didn’t go away quickly like the stickiness I’ve noticed in some other essences or serums. Additionally, it was slow to absorb. This slowed down the other steps of my process.Basically, the application process of this serum was slightly aggravating and takes a bit longer than others I use. I can’t speak to long term effects at this point but would also not be a prime candidate to do so as I have too many other variables in my skincare regimen currently.Bottom line, it’s ok if you don’t mind being sticky and spending some extra time before your next step.

I’m in my early 40s and my skin is literally always parched. I used a prescription retinol and my skin is always needing a little extra moisture. I like using this at the end of my evening skincare routine. Goes on smooth and easy and just feels like it’s breathing life into my skin. I would use this in the AM but I feel there is a bit of a layer or texture that it gives, I’m not sure how my makeup would work on top.Anyways, I love REN and think this is such a great product, i can’t wait to put it to good use long term.
