Bought these to lyme eggs as the girls are producing more than we can eat or freeze. When they arrived there was no packaging between the box of jars and the outer box. One jar was shattered because of this, however, the vendor quickly shipped out a replacement jar. Nice sturdy jars with good sealing lids. Will order more for other canning and storage needs.

I use these to cure herb and so far I am very happy. Last year I purchased 3 flip-top 1/2 gal jars for about the same price and I wish I would have gotten these instead. Packaging from company was good, but not great from Amazon. The glass is thin and I don't think it's strong enough to survive a fall or clanking against other glasses. I'll be purchasing again for sure.

These are perfect for my dried herbs and raw milk. I use them for multiple things and they've worked great.

Metal lids, classic design. What more can you ask for? Lower the price! Snagged anyway. Used to use for pickle packing. Not these days, but I use them for many things. Can’t beat glass for longer term storage. Fear bugs in flour? Fill em and freeze! Then remove. No bug problems.

I ran out of gallon jars for making pickles this year as my garden went absolutely nuts, I ended up buying a total of 12 of these as the orginal 8 are already spoken for. The seal seems good and with a semi fine thread the lid locks down well and takes less force than the commercial jars that are basically quarter turn to lock. Jar thickness seems about right too... haven't tried dropping one for a break test for obvious reasons, but again they seem inline with what you'd expect for a gallon jar. I just hope they don't corrode out from the vinegar in them, or that they last at least as well as my old jars that I got from other pickles.

When my package was recieved it was the wrong lids (I ordered metal and recieved plastic) AND there was a completely shattered jar!

She made fancy labels for her Jars she is in love with all her storage.I decided to buy me some to store a variety of assorted flours for baking . There are so many types of flours now days. allpurpose, self rising, Rye, cake flour, Bread flour, semolina, barley , 00 , there are more I need a bigger kitchen
