Heavy duty work light
So, this is a well built heavy duty LED work light. Good materials used in making the body and also the arms.It has 3 points of hinge which are fairly rigid and will keep the light positioned at whatever angle you set it at. The LED emits a good portion of light on your work area. I got the 12w and it's bright enough to illuminate your work area without any glare or flicker. At the back of the lamp-unit, there is a little switch, but it feels a little plasticky and not robust in-line with the rest of the robust quality. The base plate comes with 4 screw mounting points. It's a little small and think this should have been a little bigger for ease of installationThe head of the lamp has a decent sized handle which helps to move the lamp around. The cord supplied is a little shorter than expected and I needed to add a junction box in-line. It could have had a junction box on the base allowing a much tidier wiring setup. It comes with no instructions or guidance and poorly packaged and priced at £69.99 at the time of this review, I think it's a little steep for the overall quality.

Suitable for heavy duty workload
Great product perfect for anybody wanting to use it for working through the night or needing that extra attention. There are no instructions included so you do need to know how to wire it up. Luckily, i had a convertor handy so could easily get it up and running. The lights themselves are very bright, but the actual finish of the product is poor. The light switch is really cheap feeling and I don't feel it will hold the test of heavy use. There are many mounting options as well, with the provided holes so you can get it stable quiet easily if you have the right screws( again this is not included)

Good light for my DIY milling machine
I recently built my own small milling machine for the shop and I needed a good worklight for that project, and this one did not disappoint. It came a day after I ordered it, and everything was in good shape when it arrived. The light came as a pre-assembled unit, and just needed to be connected to a power source. I had a tiny 24v 100w power supply I picked up from Amazon a few months ago, so I had the light installed and running in about 15 minutes, and it is working great. The unit itself is nice, with a fairly large and robust aluminum head unit that is supposed to be explosion-proof (hopefully I never have to find out if that is true though), which contains 12 large LEDs. That is mounted on an aluminum arm that has an 8" square tube arm connected to the base, which is then connected to a roughly 11" metal rod arm at the top, which then connects to the light head. The base, which is about 2.5" square, is the only part that is fully made of plastic, but it is the type of plastic you normally see used in items that you would use in a shop, so it is plenty durable for a work light for sure. The base has 4 holes for mounting it, and they seem pretty durable the way they are made, and it feels secure to my machine when everything is installed. The lights are super bright, especially since this is a 12w light, but that is the beauty of today's LED lights- powerful and bright without sending your power bill higher and higher. The light also has a nice handle on top of it for arranging it where you need it, unlike the lights I bought for my drill press, etc, so that is nice. The power cord runs down through the arms to the bottom of the square tube arm, where it comes out through a port that has a plastic 90-degree elbow for it, rather than just poking out of a bare hole in the aluminum, which is also nice. The elbow then connects to an included plastic flexible tube that covers 12" of the 40" wires. The ends of the wires are bare, making it easy to connect to your preferred power source. The light also comes with a small steel wall mount if you need to install it on a vertical surface, and it connects to the base via 4 steel hex socket bolts, which are included. For my application, I didn't use the base or the mounting bracket, as I built my own base from a metal project box so I could mount the power supply inside of it, and that was also simple to do with the simple way that the light itself connects to the base.If this had come with a metal base, I would have rated it 5 stars, but other than that I would rate it at 4.5 stars for the build quality and price. Great addition to my milling machine.

This 24-volt Shop Light Offers 1200 BRIGHT Lumens from 12-watt LEDs in a Sealed Waterproof Head!
AMAZON VINE REVIEW of XUNDE 24 Volt LED WORK LIGHTI ordered this excellent light to facilitate micro-soldering on computer motherboards and other circuit repairs such as capacitor replacement in TV repair. This is a 24-volt sealed head LED work light that is waterproof and positional using the three articulating arm junctures with which it was supplied. These arms are the lockdown type and will remain in place until physically moved to a new position. This level of exact positioning is useful in micro-soldering because the light can be spotted on the weld for better precision.Micro-solder joints are stronger and better placed when they are spot-specific with little or no run on after the weld is made. Having this bright spot of light to work in will be helpful in creating a “lifetime” solder joint. The light is supplied with permanent mounting hardware and allows for precise placement of the light once the base is locked down. It is a welcome addition to the product as it negates the necessity of a less-permanent mount or “jury-rigging” a mount for convenience. Having a vendor-supplied purpose-built mounting bracket with bolts is both a problem-solver and very much appreciated. The lights are supplied WITHOUT a plug because they need a 24-volt power supply to operate. Rather than provide a 24-volt 30 watt “standard” power supply the manufacturer opted to provide two “bare” wires to be mated to a power supply that matches your intended use. I chose a 24-volt 100-watt PS that offers an all-metal chassis and IP 67 watertight case. I chose this because the sealed lamp head is certified waterproof and with this PS the lamp can be used outdoors safely. That is certainly an added value given the quality and brightness of this light’s output. The light is 12-watts putting out 1200 lumens of bright (cold) white light (about 8000 degrees K). This is a perfect light for near-vision work.Overall, the light is well-made with one exception. The red ON-OFF button is NOT the click-lock type. It is press-on press-off which means it CAN accidentally be turned on or off by contact or mistake. Given the quality of the rest of the construction this seems like an odd choice to make as a click-lock secure switch certainly seems more appropriate at this price point. The XUNDE 24-Volt LED Work Light is a valuable addition to my shop. I am reluctant to remove points for the switch issue since it is easy to compensate for knowing the problem exists. This is (for me at least) a FIVE STAR product and I am pleased to have the opportunity to order it.FIVE STARS for Bright light output, sealed waterproof head, articulation joints, sturdy construction, permanent mounting hardware included, and customizable power supply option.FIVE STARS!Mark in North Carolina

Very Good, Very Bright, but Explosion Proof?
This light is sturdy and heavy-duty. It is bright and a welcome addition to a machine tool or other work area. It includes an L-shaped metal bracket for fastening to a surface, either vertical or horizontal, and four machine screws to attach the light to the bracket. There are no instructions but the installation is obvious. The kit also includes a plastic wire shield to put over the wires for protection. All in all, it is a complete kit; but you have to provide a 24 volt power source to run it. 24 volt 12 watt power supply are not expensive. Make sure you get one with an AC plug on the other end, then connect the two similar colored wires from the lamp and the power supply and you are all done. The switch to turn the light on and off is on the lamp head, a nice feature so you aren't reaching for it. A handle on the light allows you to pull the light into alignment with whatever you want illuminated.Frankly, at this price point I would give the lamp five stars. But I was bothered by the lack of placarding on the lamp (no label as to electrical factors, other than a sticker that says "12 W 24 V". That translates into about 500 milliamps, so a small power supply is all you need. A typical 30 watt 24 volt LED power supply is overkill. So why only 4 stars? Because the lamp is listed as "explosion proof" but there is no documentation, labelling, or indication of what that means. In the U.S., the term implies conformance with National Electrical Code regarding use in volatile or flammable vapors. Such certifying information should be shown on an attached label if the device is in compliance with that code. The term "explosion proof" does NOT mean the lamp will not explode. It means (in the United States at least) that the device can be operated in hazardous atmospheres - volatile chemical vapors, areas with explosive dust, etc. It means that any arcing or internal sparks or fire will not be transmitted outside the unit when dangerous atmospheres are present. But lacking information regarding conformance, how does the consumer really know if this lamp is safe around hazardous environments? So it's a nice advertising come-on, but it is not backed up with certification of conformance, so I would never expose this lamp to highly volatile areas (like for example gasoline vapors) that present a fire hazard. Terms like "explosion proof", "water proof", "shock proof" mean nothing unless the manufacturer certifies to the standards it meets, or attaches a governing body's symbol (like UL). I took one star for that, and would say this lamp will be fine in non-hazardous areas with adequate ventilation - in other words use it where you would use any plug-in light fixture (like your home or garage).

Well made. Stays where you point it. Not very bright
This light is well made, stable and does not get too hot. I got it to use with my CNC. Unfortunately the light output is not nearly what I expected. The light is not a 110v plug in. You need to provide your own power supply. Easy enough to come by but an additional expense. After some testing and repositioning, I decided to change to a brighter overhead fixture to get better overall illumination. May install on my work bench as a spot light or may move to my drill press. For the price, I can not recommend this product.

Good fit for a mini lathe
I got this light to retro fit to a mini lathe I have. My eyesight isn't what it used to be and having brighter light that is localized makes a big difference to me. I originally wanted to go with hi-bay overhead lights but that is going to make the garage too bright for normal work and it's an overkill for working on a lathe. Plus if there are reflections, there would be little I could do other than switch it off. This light fits my needs perfectly. It is sturdy, bright enough, flexible so I can move it into various positions that might be needed to examine parts or take measurements. originally the screws were too tight to allow easy moving of the light, but that is easily fixed as the linkages are all adjustable. Not too tight and not too loose that it might lose position through vibrations. Easily achieved. The light does require a separate DC 24 Volt power supply. I have a few spare so it was no issue and I knew that going in. If you don't have a power supply, you will need to add that to the cost of this light. The light is claimed to be explosion proof. I doubt anyone would use this light in an explosive environment. Lights with full ratings for use in explosive environments are far more expensive and need to be certified. I'm not sure one can even have a lathe in an explosive environment nor does it makes sense to do so. Regardless, this will work well for a lathe, but I wouldn't recommend usage in an explosive environment.Mounting it was easy. Drill four holes to align the supplied bracket that is already drilled and tapped. Then just screw it together. Size is great for a mini lathe, but not so much for a bigger lathe unless your work is always near the headstock.I'm enjoying the new found visibility very much and would recommend this product for a machine shop.
