Amazing quality/Craftsmanship. very functional
The build quality is phenomenal. Nothing is lacking. The handles are a grippy G-10 fiberglass that's designed to last forever.Airplane grade aluminum retention ring feels great and allows smooth and easy manipulation of the Karambit when pulling it from your pocket or switching from the reverse to extended grip and vice versa.Several different and reliable methods for deploying the blade including the near instant Emerson Wave, which honestly does take some practice to deploy consistently. The ergonomics are amazing and the knife feels great in hand.Something to note however is this knife, The Fox 479 was originally made to be worn by people wearing gloves...so if your hands aren't 3.5" across the back of knuckle as recommended then you will find it larger than optimal. This would make an amazing gift for any karambit enthusiast.Likely the best value for the money of any folding karambit.Doesn't flick open without assist or wrist snap.Highly recommend this karambit.

Folding Karambit
I liked everything about the knife when I first got it. It was sharp and everything on it was very clean. The functionality of it was perfect no flaws whatsoever. The inside of the finger ring was perfectly smooth. And it fit my hand perfect as it was supposed to. I would definitely recommend this knife for my friends and family. It’s one of the perfect self-defense weapons. It was well worth the money and as I stated, I would buy this knife again.

Excellent quality
I have a CRKT Provoke and it is awsome, but heavy. The Fox knife is a great lighter weight defense knife. It deploys as being pulled out. Very sturdy and has a crisp lock up.

Excellent knife simple fix for hard to open
The media could not be loaded. First off. Other reviews are saying it too hard to open, they are trying to adjust the tension at the "tension screw " the stiff open is caused by a new knife has not been "worked in" or "polished " there is a cross bar on the back side of the knife separating the handle that the blade comes into contact with a "retention grove" in the blade. These is what makes it stiff when now. Just work it open and close to "polish" the retention grove, when it loose up that is when you adjust the retention screw to your liking. Look at my video of what I just explained.Second.I love these knives. This is the second one that o have bought. First was 10 years ago for a trip to Vietnam, and I still carry it almost daily.I bought the second knife for cancel carry in side my belt. I have a coustem ccw leather belt with inside pockets. This is for when I need a deeper ccw knife.I plan on buying a third knife soon so I can have the chance of either right pocket, left pocket or inside the belt carry.

Almost perfect
I really really like this knife except my 20 dollar smith and wesson folding knife is just as sharp. For the price, I was expecting this knife to be razor sharp. It's sharp but not sharp enough at this price point. Might return.

Probably my favorite stabby of all-time.
I opened the box and a sense of might, nay, mild invincibility swept over me. I gasped even, as the box opened and my eyes fell upon the prize concealed within the cellulose coffin. I reached out, hesitantly, as if I was waiting on the audible approval from the God of Death himself before I was deemed worthy to handle such a fine instrument of mayhem.Upon securing this item inside my pocket, I found that the combination of the strong clip, and rough textured G-10 scales that this knife wasn't going anywhere, until I determined it needed to be drawn. It would remain steadfast in my pocket, like the sword in the stone, awaiting a suitable warrior to draw it.Opponents have fled at the mere sight of it, though I have been both outnumbered and outgunned. I brought THE knife to end all gunfights.Ok in all seriousness this knife from Fox kicks @$$ and has become a permanent part of my EDC. The curved blade makes it a solid contender for both utility as well as defensive use, and the emerson wave feature allows for rapid deployment with one hand, just takes a bit of practice. A solid piece of kit, well worth what I spent on it, and I will likely carry one going forward.

Solid piece of equiment
word of caution, be careful. In the first 10 minutes of owning this knife I was bleeding and had sliced my shorts (100% my own fault). The blade deploys easily when drawn from pocket and has the pointiest tip of any knife I own to date. I drew the knife and caught my baggy shorts with the blade and cut them. I see me ordering the training version to practice with a bit to avoid needing to go get stitched up.

As stated BUY a trainer too
Exceptional product. Very sharp and ergs are great. You will have a great urge to play with it before training. DONT. This is a great weapon but I would highly encourage a trainer. Avid knife user, collector who can tell you it will get you some serious stitches if you don’t respect it and get a trainer before getting very familiar with it. Great product.
