I couldn't tell that the lidocaine was on them. They didn't really stick very well. I could only get 2 or 3 uses out of them.

Low quality n didn’t stick

I've used e-stim at home on my thigh and shoulders for years so I'm really used to how it feels. There's always a little bit of a hot sensation that goes along with it. I really didn't expect these to be any different, but, wow, they're totally different. It's almost like putting a menthol rub on my muscles before starting an e-stim session. It seems to help my muscles loosen more quickly. My PT has told me to put a muscle lotion on after I use the machine, but this is a much better idea. My muscles continue to feel cool and relaxed for quite a while after I'm finished. I would have never known about these if I hadn't seen them on an Amazon search page when I was looking for some replacement pads, but I think everyone who uses an e-stim should know about these!

I end up using topicals after a TENS session anyhow, so this helps expedite the process of getting bad spasms and knot clusters under control in a way vanilla pads just haven’t worked. These are fantastic for upper back work, behind the scapulae.Would really love a variety pack with 1” and 2” round pads for smaller trigger points or getting right up against nerve roots, not to mention some butterfly pads to make low back sessions more straightforward.

These TENS electrode pads have surpassed my expectations so far. I've used the ones initially included with my Auvon unit and a few generic replacements, but these are easily the best. If you also enjoy menthol topicals, I'd highly recommend this product.These are my opinions after using one set for three long sessions so far:Likes:- Cooling actually works! Noticable after short duration, then lasts rest of session. - Cooling effect also seems to prolong my relief after TENS session. Spouse is able to apply topical on otherwise incredibly sensitive SI joint area without the pain causing twitches.- Large rectangular dimensions are more practical for widespread pain areas. Especially effective for back applications.- Gel layer seems heartier than low quality generics I've tried. Revives well when quickly rinsed post use.- Seamless use with Auvon unit.Dislikes:- Understandable, but pads don't conform to smaller curved areas well, such as neck and traps.- Instructions note that skin can be wet to improve adhesion, but I've always read skin should be dry....if anything, a fingertip of water to the gel itself can help. Need to research further, but definitely going to only use on clean, dry, product free skin. I've enjoyed using the first pair of electrodes from this set and appreciate the company's honesty about the menthol eventually depleting but the pads still being reusable when maintained properly. I love the cooling sensation and would recommend these!

The Doneco tens unit pads with menthol and lidocaine lasted approximately 20 uses with good connection of the hydrogel. The menthol and lidocaine within the hydrogel didn't seem to last quite that long - more like 15 or so uses. The pads smell like menthol, but the smell did not seem to linger on the skin after a session. I could feel the "cooling" difference on the neck/shoulders compared with standard tens pads. It felt cooling, but not like an ice pack. It was much more subtle. I could not feel the difference on the knees, even when I put the Doneco on one leg and the standard tens pad on the other leg. I am guessing it is is more noticeable in a more sensitive area such as the neck or near a more recent injury. I liked the size of the Doneco tens pad and was able to use one of those compared to two of the smaller standards ones. This is a product worth trying to see how it works for you. Always consult your doctor before trying a tens unit especially if you are under the care of a cardiologist.
