Web Instructions are the way to go!
The print instructions aren't bad by any means, but it was a little challenging to figure out which rod to use where given they're all the same color. There was a small piece of paper tucked in the book that provides a link for troubleshooting. I took a look-it sends you to a video that does a good overview of building the model and making it work well.More importantly, in the video description there's another link for updated web instructions that include extra letters and numbers that really spell out what to use where in each step.I had the instructions up on my laptop and printed out the slip sheet to organize the different rods-worked like a charm! Great build, lots of fun, and a good amount of support material-would definitely recommend to anyone young or old that likes to build or tinker!

K'NEX is now in the marble game!
The media could not be loaded. I've always been a fan on K'NEX since the 90s and loved the original ball factory. This new marble coaster set really does a good job continuing that legacy of fun, educational building sets. It does have a motor, it's built from all classic K'NEX, and introduces new marble parts and pieces which are super cool and fun! I really hope K'NEX turns this into a line like their micro coasters-would be really cool to collect and combine into a giant marble coaster run or make a marble coaster run amusement park!

Not in the same class as Lego
I will never take for granted the simplicity and elegance of Lego products. Everything about this product, my first knex product, was a disaster. Instruction booklet is awful, filled with confusing and terribly unhelpful pictures, and diagrams. There were five different lengths of the exact same color and shape kind of piece. In the countless different ways that they could have simplified the instruction and indicated some help to the user on how to differentiate which piece was needed, they failed to do so. Upon completion after much frustration, I realized that I was missing a few pieces. It’s possible that it can easily be confused as to which size piece they were looking for, that I may have incorrectly placed an item. But at that point, it didn’t matter. The final product was wobbly, the balls did not fall into the correct placement for many reasons, and it was a total disappointment. Additionally, the way the item is explained, makes it seem like the three different steps that are mentioned are three separate levels that can be independently done. Not so. Level one is just the first set of steps, and does not independently work on its own. I assumed once you completed level one, which would be an easier build, it would work on its own, as just an introduction as to how the whole system would work. Level one is just the first 30 steps. Once you finish level one, you have a product that is 1/3 completed, and that’s it. You then have to complete level two, and then level three, for the item to actually function. As I said, the way, the item description is written, makes it feel as if, you could work your way up to the third level, and that each level was independently a functioning part of this toy. Big disappointments, and the last product I will buy from this company.

Great set to build
I got this for my son and couldn't be happier. He plays with it for hours. The different builds are challenging but easy enough for him to do it without any help. He loves all 3 stages. Highly recommend this set.

Imperfect and very fickle
Good luck putting this together. The pieces are not exactly precise and even when following the directions things need to be constantly adjusted.I needed to improvise and make some modifications to make things work and when they do work it's only temporary before something else needs adjustment. It's like the pieces fit together just fine but it doesn't line up correctly causing the marbles to fall, get stuck, or fly out of the catch tray.My 9 year old had no chance of getting this built so I had to do it. After building it and trying to bend and push things into alignment I even managed to draw blood trying to make this work. Definitely not fun putting it together and messing with it all of the time. Hope this review helps.

Good product design, bad quality of materials,
The overall product design was great and fun for me and my son to put together but the pieces are small and made of flimsy plastic. After putting it together and putting batteries in it the product worked for a few minutes the started falling apart I’m guessing from the vibrations of the small motor.
