It's okay for small monitors.
Functional for a small monitor. Beyond 21" monitors I found it to be inadequate. The screen kept dipping down no matter how well I tightened the segment.

With a 1/2 socket + ratchet this is the perfect cheap solution for mounting displays.
I personally have $100-$150 mounts that are quite similar to this product. There is no real difference from this mount compared to the higher priced ones that I can see. Yes the hand tightening nut on the desk feels more cheap -- but is adequate and works. Yes the metal is of thinner gauge -- but again what this kit includes is adequate and works. This particular mount is holding a TV/LCD at a video production workstation for my use. I was weary due to the comments about the tilt not keeping the monitor up on heavier screens...but I thought "hey it's amazon; worst case I'll send it back and get an expensive one." In the end I am happy I took a chance.. and now in the future I'll be back for more!**Make sure you have a 1/2 socket and ratchet handy**If you use the included tools the tilting [problem] described below _will_ happen. After realizing the included tool would never get the tilt bolt tight enough I was (easily) able to tighten down the bolt with a 1/2 socket to keep everything where I wanted it. Tightening all of the bolts at each of the pivoting points is a good idea... having the pivot points 'stiff' keeps everything in place and (for me) works best. There's enough leverage at each pivot point to adjust with two hand and a firm tug if drastic positioning changes are required.

Not necessarily a bad mount but it can't reliably support 10.8 lb. monitor
I purchased it for 27" DELL monitor - 10.82 lbs. While this is rated for monitors up to 30" and 11 lbs, it was unable to keep the screen from tilting forward no matter how much I tightened it. I suspect this might be well suited for 17-20" monitors, but it falls short when you approach the mount stand's max weight.

so It made the entire arm completely useless. To make sure this wasn't just me I ...
So, After building this completely, The FINAL piece the Screw in Knob/Hole that keep the Monitor arm actually the Pole turned out not to be Threaded properly, so It made the entire arm completely useless. To make sure this wasn't just me I opened up the Second one and it's the Same exact problem. To me this said that the company itself just wasn't quality checking their product. Will not repurchase will not recommend.

This thing is so badly made and designed. It's does not hold up a 23-inch monitor and keeps tilting as if it's going to fall over. The clamp holding the stand up is very weak and is not big enough to keep the stand and the monitor steady. Also, the monitor keep tilting down because the control arm holding the monitor up is made with cheap material.

Bottom line this product is super cheap and if your willing to do some modifications ...
Very cheap mount, the tilt does not hold my monitor which it 18lbs.Had to dissemble the elbow and take out a washer and tighten as far as humanly possible to get it to stay put.Poorly machined threads on bolts, mainly the tightening knob that secures the arm to the bar. I had to use pliers and chewed all the plastic off to get it tight enough to stay.Bottom line this product is super cheap and if your willing to do some modifications yourself and a bit of good will then its ok. If you aren't handy or expect perfection for $20 stay away

Cheap, simple, and good enogh for a relatively light monitor.
Got this to use with my U28E590D which has its VESA mount point located unusually high. It's very simple, I don't think it would fare too well with anything much heavier than my monitor. I mount and leave the monitor in position. If I needed to re-position often, I would get an arm that was built better. Great value for what it is.

Doesn't work as advertised
This will not work for any medium to large sized monitor. I tired this with an 11 pound monitor, it will not work. It will only work with a 5 pound monitor I had. Any heavier, and the screen will begin to tilt downwards. I tired to tighten the joint, despite tightening until the given wrench began to warp. This is a waste of 20 dollars. This is a terrible product for what is advertised. Please choose another monitor arm.

Great value!
Great stand. I'm using it for an extremely heavy monitor, and the stand seems to be holding up to it! Had to tighten some of the bolts where it pivots (this may be the case with monitors on the heavier side). Would definitely buy again!

Lousy stand.
I had terrible experience with this product, followed instructions carefully, mounted a 27” monitor, the monitor would not stay up, kept tightening and still does not work. I would return but I threw away the packaging.
