The part was the exact GE original valve.
I was able to get the washer working before the new part arrived, so I set it aside. About 60 days later the washer quit again. When I open the package, I found the valve had been damaged in shipping. It was past the 30 day return window, however when I contacted the seller Pattern they immediately took care of the issue. I am completely satisfied with Pattern and will use them again.
