Great rod
I have been using it for everything. Great in bigger rivers and also great in the bay.

I really love this rod but....
I generally love this rod. I have the 8'6 and the 9 footer medium heavy. This review is about the 9 footer. I use it for casting from the beach for snook, big jacks and tarpon. My only problem and the reason it's not getting 5 stars is the line snags on the tip often and the guides bend too easily. I'm scared when I bend them back they're gonna snap off at one point. I'm not very rough with this rod, but I do keep it in the bed of my truck and so on. The slightest amount of pressure bends these guides.

awesome pole
overall the pole great. plenty of backbone on the rod. i wish it came in a heavy also. i have a 8'6" heavy and it's great with one exception the top part of the rod is always loose and comes off sometimes when casting. was a simple fix with surf wax but have to apply on every use. the 9' gives me a little more distance and is a little more sensitive; 6 " more in length give a little more play.

Bull Red
I used this 9’ medium heavy to cast 3oz and 5 oz lead sinkers fishing for Redfish in Port Aransas. It easily handled the 35” Bull Red I landed on the jetty.
