I bought two sets of these for our windows for christmas. They are colorful and easy to put up. Battery life lasts about a week off AAA batteries. And it does have an option to power it by USB. I would definitely buy again. Recommend it to anybody who's looking for something that doesn't have to be plugged in. Oh, and by the way, it gives you an option to set it for 4 Hour on and then 20 hours off or 6 hours on and 18 hours off. As others have mentioned, the package does not come with any details about the remote. And there's only a handful of options that you can play with to get an outcome. It worked for what I needed and so I'm happy with it.

These lights were pretty enough, but the multi-color option I liked didn't have a steady option, which I prefer. The other solid colors had that option, but I couldn't find it on the multi color option. Also, on the multi-color option it turned off an random times. Sometimes it would stay on for hours, and other times just for 20 minutes or so. They finally became more work than relaxation and I took them down and threw them away. I might have spent more time fussing with them, but I won't have a house next year, so won't need the decorations, and no one else wanted to fuss with them either when I tried to give them away, mostly because the tape looked a bit odd on the tree anyway. I've used tape lights other places and they look fine, (like around windows, behind electronics etc.) so if you intend these for something like that, don't let the tape stop you. I wanted to give these a 3 because of the random stopping but I can't rule out that that might have been my fault somehow with all the remote buttons and multiple click options on the lights themselves. The battery case is also VERY hard to open, so if you have arthritis, these also aren't for you.

I used these lights to make one of those bubbling cauldrons for Halloween and they worked great! My only complaint is the lights came with zero instructions and a very confusing remote that makes no sense at all. Again, this was just for a craft project and I went ahead and used them anyway. I had hoped you could make just one color appear when the lights pulsate, but it circles through all of the colors instead. There are no directions for how to use the remote so I may never figure out if that is possible or not. The battery pack is nice and you can also plug the USB into a powerbank. NOTE: if you plan to do that latter, you'll need a USB power bank that has an extension cord attached. The cord is very short.

I purchased these lights to go on a plant in my house, and I had set the six hour timer so that they would turn on at the same time each day. They worked fine for about a week of holy being on 46 hours and not using the battery, but being plugged in to power via the USB. After a week they began intensely flickering and would not respond to the remote control. I don’t know if I got a faulty set, but for the week that they work, they were perfect and I loved having all of the different color options for the lights.

Bought these to light up my garage,so far so good.I ended up buying a usb extension cord and plug and just plug it to an electrical outlet and run it from remote control.The remote control is very cheap but I’ve taken care of it and so far it still works.

I got these lights for a little "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree that I have on my desk. I needed a short string but I wanted all the bells and whistles of a long decorative string of lights. I've had it set up for a couple of weeks and I still find new patterns of colors and movement of the lights. All the colors are vibrant and the patterns are all spectacular combinations of on/off, or colors chasing each other, or fades from one color to the next. I think I'll be keeping it on my desk for a few weeks, it's just festive and heartwarming to have as a decoration.

Ordered two packs of two. Three out of four didn’t work. I was trying to see if the timer worked on the 4th one but it never turned off. I had to remove a battery to get it to turn off and now it won’t turn on. So none of them work. On top of that, the darn remote is confusing and has no instructions. I finally figured it out just about the time the last one failed. Ugh. I have asked for replacements as it’s almost Christmas and I need them for a decoration on my porch. No other lights are available in time. Now I know why. Do Not Buy!
