Works perfectly with amazon firestick....connects easily after -charging rechargeable batteries via usb (cable included but power plug is not) ,turn on iPazzPort power switch then via firestick settings->controllers and bluetooth devices->add bluetooth devices then on iPazzPort hold down Fn+Shift until little blue light in right hand corner comes on.. then it will show up in list on screen...select it via old firestick remote-once connect its stays connected / reconnects immediately so when you turn off/on your receiver ect...which is very nice!Has all functionality of original remote and actually seems to respond faster.....but most important feature is the light up in the dark querty keyboardThis light up keyboard allows you to easily and quickly enter searches rather then hunting around with the track pad on the old remote which is a super annoying waste of time...this is the main reason I bought it and it works great for this. Plus you don't need to have amazon's voice control / Alexa AI spying system in your house recording everything you and guests talk about and then in the future when things slide inevitably towards more authoritarian systems they start taking points off your social credit score and other credit scores, you get band from platforms and inevitably end up in a small room while they go back through your permanent record in order to determine which camp you should be sent to....its happened before.On the odd or negative side it comes with two (not sure why two) separate rubber sleeves that are ment to allow you to store the original firestick remote in there with the iPazzPort but I have an older firestick and the remote is to small / does not fit and falls out. May fit the newer firestick remotes. However once you connect it I don't see any reason to use the old remote if you are like me and don't appreciate the voice spying features. so you can just use this as the only remote and because its quite a bit bigger the the original firestick remote you are not constant losing it in various cracks couch and others:)

I replaced the remote for my TV and soundbar. The keyboard works great. The battery life is fine but we don't leave it on continuously. I definitely recommend this remote for any fire tv or fire stick user with the appropriate remote. This does not fit the small remote that does not have the voice button thing.Pros: Easy to program. Feels good. Works very well. Overall, it is worth 5 stars.Cons: The on/off buttons aren't labeled (but the backlight comes on when it is powered on so it just takes turning it off/on to discover what position it is in). It is a little bulky (according to my wife) but once I reminded her it is less bulky than 3 remotes and a keyboard, she recanted. These were nit picky things that I don't count against it but other people might.Update (July 2, 2019):The battery life is great even if you leave it in the on position. We charge it once every week or two over night. We get a lot of compliments about it from guests wishing they had only one remote for their setup.My 14 month old son dunked it in a glass of water and we took out the batteries and let it dry. Still working strong. Not sure everyone will have that experience but it was worth noting.Edit: Someone asked me what controls I have programmed. I programmed TV power, TV source, Soundbar Volume up (doubles as power on), Soundbar Volume down, Soundbar source, Soundbar power toggle. I don't have a need for more but I like having the options.

The remote came with two rubbery silicon sleeves, one with a cutout for the fireTV IR and one if your fireTV doesn't have it. Everything fits nicely, giving you the benefit of the QWERTY, backlit keyboard as well IR features to better control your third party devices. I felt the two remotes paired together were slightly unwieldy and found myself using the iPazzPort INSTEAD of the FireTV remote. If the thickness doesn't bother you, I see benefit in keeping these devices together.Pairing is incredibly easy and the device was recognized immediately. I didn't feel the need to even look at the included manual. Simply use the FireTV's settings menu to pair a bluetooth device. Operation is self-explanatory until you get into IR learning which thankfully the manual is legible enough to show you how.The battery life is decent. I've been using it for close to a week intermittently and have not had to charge it again yet. When not in use the remote will fall asleep. The FireTV will pop up with a message saying, "Device Disconnected". Thankfully you can turn this notification off in the Firestick's settings, making operation of the device much more seamless. Charging is via the micro USB port and does not pass the charge through to the FireTV remote, which is not really a problem as you will likely never replace the FireTV remote battery for the duration of it's lifespan.Ultimately I find my FireTV experience improved by using this device for Kodi and even the youtube app (which they claim would not work, despite Amazon's Silk/Youtube app having no issue typing at all!.) You'll know right away whether this device is for you. If the minimalist Fire TV remote is lacking, this will fill in the gaps. If you want to tack on a QWERTY, backlit keyboard for night time searches on your Firestick, this will get the job done.

I like this because it does just what it says it does. I guess I didn't read it all the way the first time because it doesn't have a pointer like some of the others that do. So aside from not having a pointer, it works pretty good actually! It even has a backlight so you can use it in the dark.
