truly a "first read" book. repetitive words and few per page. an actual storyline that children & parents can relate to. yes, I would recommend.

Tick Tock Clock
My students liked this book! I like the fact that it is prebound so will hopefully last many years. We used it for characters and setting as well as rhyming words & the -ock word family. It could also be used to help teach time.

Rock around the clock
Here's a cute, ultra-simple book about telling time that takes you through a whole day with twin girls who are visiting their grandmother. I was impressed and surprised by how very many rhymes for "tick-tock" the author managed to work in! This title is good for children who are just learning to read - but the bouncy and fun rhyme makes this a pleasure to read aloud as well. Robert Neubecker is probably better known for his news magazine illustrations, but in this book as well as Wow! Ocean! he shows plenty of aptitude for engaging children. By the end of the book, plenty of fun little adventures with the twins leave Grandma tuckered out at the end of the day.

Great Book on Ock Word Family
Simply put, Tick Tock Clock is an amazing book.Focusing on the Ock family, this book repeats the clock mixed with different times of day. Everything has to do with clock rhyming words. From sock to wok, this book is very creative. The illustrations are very simple yet work well with the text. This book is really easy to read and will give kids the confidence they need to learn the Ock word family with ease.

No clocks!
Great beginner reader I agree. SImple boring rhyme book. However, I purchased this book to satisfy my sons clock obsession... TICK TOCK CLOCK - the only clocks in this whole book are the title and filler pages. Very disappointed there was no actual telling time concept or visuals. Will be returning tonight.
