It's very sturdy and strong, but the only criticism is the lid is awkward to get on and off. Otherwise perfect box.

These sound like a really good idea in principle. A storage system that can be customised to suit your needs with different inserts. The problem is it doesn't quite work like that.I've tried this storage system in the past and there were a few issues, although they seem to have tweaked the design and fixed several of them.Initially, the optional insert trays were a bit too large to fit without having to bend the box walls open, which they seem to have fixed. They've also added an extra ridge to hold the inserts in place and stop them sliding around. On the one hand this is a good thing, but on the other it means that you're restricted to how many inserts you can use. In this larger box, you could put three or four of the single tray inserts in, or two of the smaller organizer trays, but between the shape of the box and the ridge, you can only use one. This has to be placed across the centre of the box, which means you will constantly have to lift out the insert to get to anything underneath, instead of being able to place it at one side for easy access.The lid is counter-sunk into the box, which does make for a neat finish, but also makes it more awkward to open, especially with any dexterity issues as there aren't any tabs to get hold of. It's also worth noting, there's no handle and not much of a lip to get hold of, which can make them quite difficult to manoeuvre, especially if they're full/heavy.Other than that, it is what it is, a plastic storage box that's pretty expensive for what it is and even more so once you factor in any insert tray you might be planning to use. It feels like you're paying more for the name and the high-gloss look than for any specific benefits of use.

If you are after a sleek look for your office or shelving unit then these large 18L boxes will look great and most importantly they easily hold A4 sized paper and items with room to spare around the edges inside.I have measured the box myself and the measurements are slightly different to those given by Leitz as I measure the box to be 19.8cm high by 31.2cm wide (widest point) by 38.2cm long (longest point) therefore it looks like they just slightly rounded the measurements up.The box has a lift off lid and there is a lipped area inside so that if wished you can buy other compatible Leitz products and stack them inside as wished. There is a slight indent area on each of the longest sides (on the outer) to help carry the box which acts as a very small handle (this needed to be a bit bigger really).My minor niggles are that the indents on the sides are a little too shallow (as I mentioned above) and also if you have pets the boxes may not be for you as it is a static trap and seems to attract any small hairs, dust etc onto the boxes gloss surface.In summary a very nice sleek looking storage box which would look perfect in a minimalist kitchen or office and I have a few of these holding different paperwork, bubble envelopes etc now and they look great. The current just under 23 pounds represents good value for a whopper of a storage box and the fact it can be stacked or added to with different internal storage units makes this a great storage option.

Not a cheap storage box but it is very sturdy and well made.Unfortunately I received this storage box without the lid which I assume is just an oversight.This Leitz 18L white storage box measures 38.5cm in length x 31.8cm in width x 19.8cm in height. It is very strongly made using durable plastic with a scratch resistant white gloss finish. There are no sharp edges and the corners are nicely rounded, the base is very even and the box sits neatly on a shelf or work top.There are no actual handles integrated or otherwise, there is a shallow overhang/lip on each of the two sides which could be used to help lift the box, however I have found that if the box is filled with anything heavy, it actually hurts your fingers to lift the box using these overhangs.It is worth noting that these storage boxes are stackable and the lid is supposed to snap on however I am unable to attest to this as I didn't receive a lid with mine.I have found this box looks great in my bathroom, where it is placed on floor and now contains a selection of bath products. Of course it could be used in any other room for storage.
