X-Vision Professional 700 TVL 30m IR Vandal Dome

Anyone looking to buy CCTV camera (or any other CCTV equipment) would know that its extremely hard to get reviews of these items. I decided to buy this camera by reading specifications. I must say that outside body of camera is very rigid and surely is vandal proof. Instructions were clear on how to setup the camera. You need to buy power adapter and BNC cable/connecter separately. Really bad point of this camera is adjusting zoom and focus. You have to open the dome cover in order to set zoom and focus. You will find two separate levers one for zoom and other one for focus adjustment. Both levers are very fragile, and you need to be careful when adjusting them otherwise they can come off.I tested this camera inside. I was really disappointed by results. Maximum focus settings can only focus objects which are no more than 5or 6 feet away from camera. I tried to adjust zoom in order to fix focus, but picture became more blurry. I tested this camera on 20" panasonic tv with Dual Codec DVR (bought from Maplin) and then on Samsung 50" lcd tv. At the end, i had to return the camera to Amazone. This was my first return to Amazone, and was quit happy with return service.I would not recommend this camera to anyone based on my experience.
