Best value flashlight in 2025!
Bottom line this is the best value of any flashlight I’ve ever seen. Seriously it’s that good punches way above its weight.

Great all purpose work light
This is my third Wurkkos flashlight and this one is my favorite so far. It uses a 21700 size battery which is on the larger side for headlamps, however I love the design of the HD50 since it's actually smaller than most 18650 lights while having significantly longer battery life and I don't really mind it's weight. Now lets talk about the emmiters:First, the floodlight which is the one that I use the most. It is fantastic and plenty bright for indoor use, since it produces a very smooth and difusse beam of light in front of you and thanks to the warm-ish(but green tinted) high CRI LED its also pleasant to use in close proximity for any task that can be done at arms length or even as a reading light. Now the spotlight, which is more of a general use beam rather than a thrower is more suited for outdoor use with higher light output and a bright hotspot in the middle of the beam, it has a cool white color temp, standard CRI and a slight purple tint to my eyes. I use it mostly when I'm using the light as a normal flashlight as it's easy to remove and attach to the headband and then stick it somewere with the magnet which I also really like. Then the red led is the deepest red I've ever seen, on turbo it claims to have only 135lm but it seems to be a lot more than that as it appears brighter and it puts out a decent amount of heat when compared to other lights around 100 lumens. This type of red light is meant to preserve night vision in the dark for things like astronomy and night photography. Finally, the two button UI is easy to use and I found the amount of modes and brightness spacing to be good enough. I also really like the remaining battery indicaction with the green/red and solid/blinking ui which actually gives you an aproximate battery % rather than just good/empty that most other lights give you. Battery life is also good but not excellent, a regulated driver here would have been great for better efficiency and heat management. Regarding turbo modes and heat, this thing can actually put out the claimed blindingly bright 3000Lm on the spotlight, 1000Lm on the flood and a bit under 4000Lm with both at the same time but maybe only for a minute max, it will get very HOT very QUICK, you can expect it to actually sustain around 4-600 lumens which is plenty for most use cases, but again, it could have been better with a more advanced driver. In short, the wurkkos HD50 is a good for everything home and utility flashlight/headlamp that offers great value and features for the price (~$40 with discounts).

Perfect Headlamp for a mechanic
As a mechanic, I’ve gone through my fair share of headlamps, and most of them either die too quickly, aren’t bright enough, or feel flimsy. This one? It absolutely blows me away!First off, the brightness is unreal. I’m used to struggling with dim lights in tight engine bays, but this little headlamp lights up everything like a floodlight. I honestly don’t know how something this small puts out this much light, but it makes a huge difference when working under a hood. The battery life is what really impressed me. I expected a few hours at best, but I’ve been using it for a week without needing to recharge yet. This thing just keeps going!Another big plus is the metal body. I’ve dropped it on concrete, banged it against engine blocks and it still works like new. Most headlamps feel cheap and fragile, but this one has a little weight to and is built like a tank. And my favorite feature? The dedicated power button. No more cycling through a dozen modes just to turn it off. I can shut it down instantly, which is a lifesaver when I’ve got my hands full.If you’re a mechanic or just need a tough, reliable headlamp, this is hands down the best one I’ve ever used. Bright, durable, Well worth the price, and lasts forever couldn’t ask for more!

If it gets HOT try another one.
The first one I ordered would get very hot on my forehead, so I took a chance and requested another one. The second one gets warm but not nearly as uncomfortably hot as the first one. Overall, I'm happy with the headlamp, and it works great for working under cars where a battery pack on the back of your head isn't very comfortable.

Adjustable red light brightness makes this perfect for astronomy.
I bought this light with my own hard-earned cash. I've been getting into amateur astronomy and astrophotography and I have been looking for a quality red/white headlamp with an adjustable brightness for both the white AND red lights. A bright red light is nice for preserving night vision while walking around in the dark, but is unnecessary for up close tasks like swapping eyepieces, and I had been having trouble finding a headlamp with a red moonlight mode.RED: This headlamp turns out to be the perfect tool, as you have five total brightness settings for each light mode, including the red light: Moonlight, Low, Medium, High, Turbo. The red moonlight is very dim which is exactly what I was looking for. The red tint is a pleasing deep crimson, which can become extremely bright on high and turbo modes.WHITE: The high CRI floodlight paired with a bright, cooler tinted spot light is a well thought out combination, and being able to run both the flood/spot at the same time has been great for walking the dogs at night.UI: The two button user interface is logical, and became intuitive after using it for the first night or two. The double click to turbo is a quick shortcut to a stupidly bright wall of light.Battery: The 21700 battery life has been great, especially because I typically run it on lower brightness modes for tasks around the house and telescope. I think the brighter modes will really come in handy for camping this summer, so I'll have to see how it lasts under those conditions. Having the integrated USB-C charger is also a plus, because it means fewer chargers that I'll have to pack for camping or trips. Just the solar power bank and a cable-very streamlined.Headband: The headband is fine and adjustments are adequate. The rubber base allows the light to rotate easily, and provides a comfortable cushion between your forehead and the and the body of the light.Cons: The only potential drawback is that the flashlight host is a little bulky and heavy. Although I start to feel the weight, it hasn't become uncomfortable, even wearing it for several hours during long telescope sessions. I recognize and actually appreciate the large battery with better run times and adequate host material for heat dissipation when running the brighter settings for extended lengths.Overall: While the dim red moonlight was initially the reason I bought it, this headlamp has a lot of really well thought out features and uses quality LEDs. Even as a bit of a flashlight enthusiast, it has actually become one of my favorite and most used lights in my little arsenal.
