I tried 2 sets of the keypad versions and in both cases I was unable to install them correctly even after dremeling the hole to be larger.In every case, I was able to get 3 screws in and the last would nt screw in straight.This one has the kool fingerprint feature that works and has so many screws and lengths, the install was easy, the wiring was also better than the other brands.Would Recommend.

I have a 2023 Alliance Paradigm 382RK. I was told that all dealers have a master key to pretty much all RVs. I have also had my previous camper broken into a couple of times, so I wanted to make sure that I had a better lock than a standard lock on my RV. So, my first step was to replace the lock. I ran across the RISTOW RV lock I liked the idea of having many different ways to unlock the door. When I got the lock, I was amazed at how well built it was. Very heavy duty! I took my old lock off and put the RISTOW lock on in less than 10 minutes. It was so simple. Getting the fobs working, adding fingerprints, adding different codes for different people was very simple. The only thing that I found was that here in the past couple of days, the temp was down below 0. On very cold days, my fingerprints didn't work (probably because they were so puckered up from the cold). When that happened, I just switched over to the keypad.Anyway, I really love my new door lock and I have already told my daughter to get one for her RV. I would buy again for sure.

From the packaging to installation or just general use ... outstanding, easy and actually pleasurable!Unit arrived well packaged and even included a nice little screwdriver to help with installation!Installation was very easy and was a direct replacement from the Carmtek lock that it replaced. My Carmtek lock had its number keypad cracking up after only 2 years of use. The final nail in the coffin for Carmtek was when the cast iron interior handle broke, making it so that we were trapped in our camper! .. Thank goodness for our back door!This unit feels strong and heavy!The beeps and chirps that it makes are much more subdued and subtle compared with the obnoxious sound from the Carmtek!And the operation of the lock, especially when using the fingerprint method of unlocking is FAST AND QUIET!! I absolutely LOVE leaving the camper and locking up now! I absolutely love it! So fast, and oh, so easy!Even programming new codes or fingerprints ... this unit is just EASY!Treat yourself and BUY THIS LOCK! Heavy duty all metal, fingerprint reader works great for me. Came with multiple keys and remotes. Would buy again.

First the things I like:Installation was excruciatingly easy.It feels well made and solid, and it comes with a sufficient quantity of keys that you don't need to worry about going out and making spares right away. Plus, it's easy to set combinations for keyless entry. I haven't messed with the keyless remotes, but I'm sure they won't be difficult to set up.Now the things that need to be improved on:The little lip that sticks out the back where you can pull the door shut is absolutely insufficient. There is just barely enough of a lip to get your fingertips underneath it (female fingertips - almost nothing for men to grasp) to pull the door shut. I am working on an extension to mount on there with some epoxy that will allow you to more of a lip on the making closing easier. The lack of a full 10-digit keypad makes it very difficult to set up numbers that would be easy for you to remember. I have some numbers over the years that I have memorized for various reasons that I'd like to reuse. They are numbers I remember, but are not family birth dates or anything that someone would be able to guess. Most of them have a nine or a zero in them. There's no 9 or 0 on this keypad so it's very limiting. Lastly, while I was able to use the same strike plate on the frame, I used the new faceplate on door itself. I wanted to make sure that the bolt lined up properly and even though the old one looked exactly the same I just used the new one that came in the box. I'm not sure if I need to adjust something a little bit but I have to be careful when closing the door because it doesn't always want to close fully the first time. I don't know if that will lessen over time and use or if it's always going to be kind of tight.For the price, I think I got a pretty good lock. I have put in keyless entries on my regular house door and this was comparable with those installations. The only thing you have to be careful about is not pinching the wiring. Once you get it lined up and snug, you just tighten it on your door. Took me all of about 15 minutes.I didn't get the one with the biometric because I figured the fewer bells and whistles there are, the less things to fail. I just need something I can punch a code in and open my door.Overall I am well pleased, it seems very good value and I would give it a five-star if they would just manufacture a half an inch more on the back inside so you could pull the door shut without ripping your fingernails off.

Really well built. Comes with 2 remotes and 4 keys . The keypad is easy to program.

The product did not slide in easy as described. When I finally got it in, I was excited I got it in and forgot about the wires and Boom Sliced so went to the trash and dumped it. Be careful if you take the risk.
