Was dinged a little but worked. Couldn't beat the price.

Worked. But some foot issues
Bought this to install into an HP pavilion. Just replaced the bottom of the case as well. There was some interference between the cd player cover and the case. Wound up machining the cover down on top and bottom and voila! Not sure whether the interference was against the top or bottom as I machined both. Could also have been the replacement bottom piece. Working now.

Arrived with something rattling inside it.Won't read any disks I load. Can't find any drivers for it.Not worth my time to drive it to Kohls. Should have listened to that voice in my head.

Great for ripping dvds.Little slower than my other dvd drive. But works perfect. Installed easy. Windows 11 picked it up immediately.
