Clearing the way...
As author Chris McNab notes, the progress of the U.S. Army in the Second World War had a great deal to do with its own Corps of Engineers. In a truly global effort, Army engineers built, cleared and fortified their way through some of the most challenging terrain in the world. And that included having to fight the Germans, the Italians, and the Japanese along the way. This slim volume draws heavily on the Corps of Engineers' own manuals, handbooks, documents and photographs. They give a flavor of the expectations on the Corps, and the many ways they met those expectations. Recommended to students of the U.S. Army in the Second World War.

Good book
Good book but could use much more detail like complete TO/E's, more on airfield building in the Pacific, engineers during Battle of the Bulge. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the book.
