They're a softer shelf stable cheese so don't go into it expecting a hard cheese!These are pretty good! My husband LOVED them ( he's a big cheese guy, ) and I probably will get this for him again.

Love this Asiago cheese...now!Sorry for my previous review. Once you open the package, you must let the cheese "breathe" until it normalizes itself into its true flavor. Do not taste it immediately after opening its plastic wrapper since it may taste flavorless.

This is pretty good for cheese that doesn't need to be refrigerated (until after opening). It seems a little rubbery at first, but upon tasting it, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It does have a very processed feel (like sliced American cheese), and is soft and slightly crumbly. But overall I like it. It has 100 calories, 8g of fat, and 6g of protein per ounce.

This cheese textured substance does not melt like real cheese when grated. it only browns on the bottom. The latter is the same for two different types I opened. It tastes odd and gave me an upset stomach. It is likely the type and very high amount of preservatives.A painfully expensive lesson.

Took these on a long plane ride but didn't open one until we got to our destination. I think they will work OK in a quesadilla or something, but for just eating a bite size cube as a snack alone, on nothing else, the flavor just isn't there in the 3 we've tried so far, Tomato Basil, Woodsmoked Cheddar, and Alpine Swiss. The texture isn't very appealing, either. I'm sure the texture is par for the course for shelf stability. The flavor isn't bad, just missing. If it had been closer to the intensity of average non shelf stable cheese, I would have been reasonably satisfied.

We took two blocks of the pepper jack cheese with us wilderness camping where we did not have access to keep our food cold. The blocks were larger than expected. The taste and texture were good and we enjoyed this as a snack while day tripping away from base camp.
