One of the BEST
Olympus OM1 mk2 , One of the best cameras out there , Great for wildlife , macro , landscape and portrait photography . This camera system has some of the best and sharpest lenses out . And the M4/3 format is light and easy to use all day , Getting on a bit and the weight savings is huge, the image stabilisation is that good that i leave the tripod at home, even under low light conditions . Moved from Nikon a couple of years back and never regretted a moment , less than half the weigh ,super sharp pictures, more reach from smaller lens, and the teleconverters 1.4 x and 2.0 x works great . The mk1 is now my backup ..

Make it your own
I've used OM systems (previously Olympus) cameras before, but this is the first flagship I've had.I find the grip just right for my hands and it feels solidly built.Setup options are a varied and a variety of shooting styles can be saved to the custom buttons.I got this model because of the versatility it gives me in not having to carry lots of accessories every time I go out.It has live ND, Graduated filter, live comp, internal stacking (dependent on lens) and its i.S is very good. This allows me to go out without always needing a tripod for landscapes, or filters if I come across a scene that needs these options. It has built in bird, animal, person & planes detection to help me get a better lock on my subject. The options such as starry sky I've already tried and will explore that further.I enjoy being able to just go out as light weight as possible sometimes and this camera assists in me doing just that.It can increase the megapixel size of your scenic picture handheld and even more on a tripod.I've been using quite a bit and still getting to know it.I can customise some of the buttons to make it as personal as I feel comfortable using.I'm just enjoying using it and photography has helped rekindle my enjoyment of the outdoors.

Micro 4/3 is smaller and lighter than bigger formats, unsuprisingly but very good
I have been a keen amateur photographer since 1961 when I got my first camera as a gift from my parents. I used 35mm and medium format film cameras for decades, did my own processing and enlarging. When digital photography came I was amazed how quickly the quality got so good I retired my enlarger and film cameras. Now with film I used 25 iso or 64 iso Kodachrome. Image stabilisation came to lenses late and was helpful but still lack of light sensitivity was a limitation with film. Now with this camera I get performance way better than film at up to 6400 iso and can go faster. Image stabilisation is superb and in the body plus loads of effective automatic functions which take away all the skill I needed with film and make photography very easy, technically.Yes, a larger sensor may have still better high iso performance but micro 4/3 is so much better than film I was used to I am delighted not to need to carry a 600mm f4 lens (which I often left at home as too big) so get far more great shots with this camera and the 300 f4 lens.It is also superb for macro with the slightly greater depth of field of a 4/3 sensor being a big help. This was an upgrade from an Olympus OM-D E1 mk2 and a worthwhile gain IMO.I am delighted with it and the lenses I already had.

Best Olympus/OM System camera
A great upgrade to those on the Micro Four-Third system. Digital ND filter is a game changer for landscapes. Works great for wildlife photography too.
