Owl Babies Oversized Board Book

My kids loved this sweet tale about a momma owl and her babies so much that they wanted to give it to the new baby in the neighborhood as a baby gift. It’s sweet and relaxing and reassuring for a bedtime story.

This was a favorite for my children and a favorite for me to read to them. Mommy guilt is real, and this book helps deal with the real feelings your child might experience when you leave, or what you, as a mom think they may be feeling. Either way, the owls get through it, each in their own way, and they end up realizing that mommy always comes home.

I thought by the cover, this would be a very cute children's story. Once I started to read it, I realized it was way too scary for young children. Their mother is gone and they are afraid she has been eaten by fox? Once she returned, she said:"you knew I'd come back"?! Ha!
