Nice versatile headlamp with many great options
9/27/18 Updated with images. My short review:Pros:+ CREE XP-G3 light bulb+ 6 light modes (most other headlamps have 4 or 5 modes max)+ very bright, 215 lumens (most other lightweight headlamps emit well below 200 lumens)+ red light+ strobe and emergency SOS signaling+ 60 degree tilt angle with 5 positions+ IPX7 waterproof rating+ nice comfortable headband+ small and lightweight+ easy to learn button controls+ colorful design (easy to find)+ clear instruction booklet+ 2 year warrantyCons:- batteries not includedVerdict:This is a well made, versatile headlamp with many great options. It has been a great addition for my truck's emergency kit. It has come in very handy for many situations. I highly recommend this headlamp. My long review:I have used various types of headlamps throughout my life and this is one of the best ones I've owned.Inside the box was the headlamp with headband, an instruction booklet in English and Spanish, and a Thank You card that contained an email to contact the company directly for questions or suggestions and websites to help you find recycling facilities near you. It also had their hashtag #boldncool so you can find them on social media. The two button controls were easy to learn. You will catch on fast once you put it on and start playing with the 6 light modes. The instruction booklet explains it well. The larger button controls the white light and the smaller button controls the red light. Tap a button within 2 second intervals to switch modes. Once you find the mode you want to use, stop tapping. After you finish using the headlamp, tap once to turn it off. It has a built in memory function, therefore, when you go to use the headlamp again, it will start with the last setting you used. So, if you usually only use the spotlight on the high setting it will always turn on and off on the high spotlight setting. You can customize this to your preference. Very cool. The white wide-angle floodlight is excellent. There is no need to adjust the tilt of the headlamp because it illuminates a large area. You can clearly see where you are walking or what you're working on.The spotlight is amazingly bright when set on high. It emits 215 lumens, making it one of the brightest headlamps on the market at this weight range and compact size. Most other small and lightweight headlamps emit well below 200 lumens. The red light is great if you don't want to attract attention to yourself or bother others around you when you're in total darkness. The red strobe light is a great option to have. Use it for warning others of possible danger or hazard. The red SOS light is best used as a distress signal so that others will know that you need help. These are must have features if you plan on adding this headlamp to your car's emergency kit.The headlamp's light beam can be tilted up to 60 degrees at 5 different positions providing you with a great deal of range and allows you to focus the light exactly where you want it.The headband is soft and comfortable. It has a nice elastic feel. I reversed mine to show the orange side on the outside.I keep this headlamp stored in my truck as part of my emergency kit. I use it all the time to keep my hands free. It's great for finding things under my seats and around my truck. I have recommended this to my friends and family and I recommend it to anyone who reads this review. Great light for the price. Super handy!

I don’t like to write reviews but this product deserve one.
This is an excellent headlamp; it looks great, it's very lightweight, sturdily built, extremely bright, comfortable and in top of that waterproof! When running, it does not bounce. I am putting it in my car glove compartment to have it handy when going outdoors or for any emergencies. I like it a lot!

Very pleased with this product
Product Review Update: 09/07/18This has been my "go to" headlamp for all types of uses for the past few months. It has a very practical design, and multiple light modes make it very versatile. It is so comfortable to wear that I tend to forget I have it on.Very pleased with this product. Handy and very useful around the house, the yard, and even if you go out jogging or biking. Hands free a plus and the different light options is a plus. Would recommend to my friends and family.

Battery compartment not sealed, comfort and controls are sub-optimal
Okay, so the product probably works as described. The package is small and light. The modes are pretty effective. The red LED lens is very crude and the light pattern is uneven, but basically works. The white light optics all are pretty good and useful. I find the flat strap holder mildly uncomfortable on my forehead and have not had this problem with other headlamps that have a slight curve to them. The controls are not well thought out. The typical control scheme on multimode lights is to have a long push for on and off, and short push to change modes. For some reason they have allowed mode changes only for the first several seconds after turn on, and then any push turns the light off. This is not the big problem it would be on say a bike light, because you are probably walking or other slow form of transport, but imagine you had to turn off your light to switch between high and low beams. Not a deal breaker, but IMO a poor design choice. In addition, the white light button hatching is far bigger than the active area so I often find myself feeling the hatch area, pushing, and not finding the button. It is unclear how the "waterproofing" is achieved. I can say for sure, that the battery compartment will fill with water in seconds when submerged, bubbles steaming from the case. I did not want to risk breaking it with and extended submergence. It is unclear whether the housing beyond the battery compartment will also fill with water but there is no obvious sealing on the battery contacts. This will almost certainly be a problem in salt water, and is less than ideal in any submergence. IPX7 does not specify salt water, but much of the kayaking and paddle boarding in the world is in saltwater, both are recommended uses in the description. If saltwater intrudes into the main compartment it will attract and hold moisture and cause corrosion to most metals including batteries, contacts and connector, unsealed buttons etc. I cannot recommend it for any salt water use. This is an okay product if you need something every once in a while, but there are several design issues that prevent it from being a serious light. The flat strap holder make it less secure and less comfortable than other lights I have used, and the general control scheme is awkward. For my use, the sealing is very suspect and I will probably have to search for another light. I do understand that IPX7 is fresh water, but I do not think it should be recommended for water sports in the description. For night time kayaking and paddle boarding, submergence and failure could be a serious safety issue, so use caution. Perhaps the distributor will respond and ally my concerns on this.

Nice and handy
I was searching for a present to my dad since he loves to work in the backyard after sunset. Looking for outside gadgets I found this product to be very interesting! Reviewed other options on Amazon. Although many of them were cheaper, the combination of light intensity, shape and design captured my attention. One observation: you will need to have 3 AAA batteries for start using it. It would be nice though if they would come inside the package of the product (like Amazon Fire Stick), therefore one drawback less in case you don't have them at home. Anyways, check out at the photos. Light is very clear at night! My Dad is very happy and he also says is very comfortable to wear. I'm definitely recommending this product to friends and other customers. Thank you Bold & Cool.
