This candy all tastes the same. I would have sent it back for a refund, but your not allowed to.

I really enjoy old fashioned hard candy. There's a store near me that makes it and I usually get a bag per season with a fun seasonal flavor. I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. I won't be getting them again. Right off the bat when I received them all the bags of candy were in a bigger plastic bag but looked like they were drop kicked across the workroom floor. Every label on the candy packaging is smudged and dirty looking, and at least one label was ripped. I don't know if it happened before they packed them to be shipped or in transit, but it's immediately off-putting and unappetizing.Onto the flavors. I'm used to old fashioned candy that starts off strong and then mellows out. These candies have about two second of flavor to them before there's nothing. The bubblegum is the strongest flavor by far, but even that flavor doesn't hold up very well. The cotton candy tastes like the bubblegum just with less flavor. The cookies and cream had a weird aftertaste that I didn't like and the marshmallow actually had a bit of an odd almost root beer like flavor to them. I sadly didn't like any of the flavors. Overall these were just not a win to me, and I will stick to my local candy store for my old fashioned candy.

Unfortunately, I just don’t think this was a great match for me.The texture of these drops was great, it reminded me almost of a lollipop without a stick. Size wise they were about as big as a marble.The cookies and cream flavor started off good but had a strong butter aftertaste that I just couldn’t get behind.The marshmallow flavor tasted sweet and had a bit of an artificial aftertaste, not the vanilla that I thought it would have.The bubblegum did taste like a light sweet bubblegum, but also did have an artificial aftertaste. The cotton candy mainly tasted like a warm or slightly caramelized sugar, at first the kids liked it, but they never wanted to try a second piece.

My February 2023 order of ‘Chameleon Colors Store Startup Candy Sugar Rush 4-Flavor Variety Pack’ contained four 8 oz zip-lock pouches of old fashioned hard candy, each pouch a different flavor: Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, Marshmallow, and Cookies and Cream. Each pouch has a different expiration date, ranging from November 4 2023 to May 30 2024. The pouches are a bit odd because they look like they were meant to be heat sealed in addition to the zip-lock, but none were. This means the only seal is the zip-lock - not ideal protection.Anyway, enough of all that. We’re here for the candy, which is quite good! Described as hard candy drops, these are traditional hard candies which remind me of lollipop candy. These are candies for savoring, not crunching (too hard to bite). All the flavors are mild, not overpowering. For example, I expected the Bubblegum candy to taste like a giant wad of cheap pink bubblegum, but instead the flavor is mild and much more enjoyable. We liked Cotton Candy and Cookies and Cream the best, while the Marshmallow flavor was the mildest.
