Bob the Builder Ready Bed

This worked SO well for our vacation at the beach, my sons didn't even want their beds back. Now granted, they're only 3 & 4, but they are pretty big for their ages and we had no problems with durability. The beds stayed inflated for a whole week, only losing a bit of their bounce on the last day (may have been an intentional sibling de-inflating however). My sons bounced on the beds, stepped on them and in general treated them like anything but the new favorite toy that they were. They love them so much that I'm now using them as a bribe. My sons occasionally did flip the beds while they were sleeping - when you think about it, a forty five pound child in a sleeping bag will occasionally roll over and bring an air mattress with them. But not enough of a big deal to cause any concern on my part, and I'm shall we say a bit over protective and paranoid about safety. The worst that happened was that they would roll off of the air mattress, it would flip over on top of them and they'd look like an upside down turtle. At first, I unzipped the bags so that they would not have any problems, but after the first couple of nights of watching them, I decided that they were fine and they would roll over pretty quickly.All in all, these were awesome.

Both my sons, ages 2 and 4 got these for Christmas. WOW - I love them. We had an "issue" with our 4 year old always wanting to sleep with us. Not now - he sleeps in this everynight. I must confess, one night, not only was he in our bed but the inflatable mattress was there too! :-) This was also great when they caught the flu. We brought both mattresses downstairs and they could lay around and watch movies. I know we will use this a lot for sleepovers, visiting grandparents, etc. Definately worth the money!

While realizing that this bed was for three years and up, I thought this would make a nice alternative for my 2.5 year old son who has stretched beyond the confines of his pack and play. Imagine the gut wrenching fear that overcame me when I went to check on him before I went to bed and discovered that the bed had flipped completely over on him as well as the heating register. Needless to say, he was a bit warm and sweaty, but thankfully that was it, and that was it for the bed, as it will be returned and our search for a portable alternative will no doubt continue. If you think this would be hard to flip, just put the bed on the floor and tug on the loose material on the side of the bed, just as a youngster might do if they roll too far to the side of the mattress.

My mother bought these beds for my boys ages 4.5 and 8 for Christmas. They want to sleep in them every night! I had to take my 4 yo to work with me because he was sick, and the ready bed was a life saver! My boys are not easy on them at all--walking and falling on them--and they have held up so far. My 4yo can inflate/deflate all by himself. They got the ones with the battery powered pump. Now I have to buy one for my 1 yo boy, too!

My 4 year old son, an avid Bob fan, loves this bed. He often times has nightmares and wishes to sleep with me (a single father) and this has been great for both of us. He is big for his age, more the size of my 6 year old, and so it was getting to be a hassle for me to share my bed with him everynight, but with this, he can be right next to me in his OWN bed. It's easy to handle and it's been very durable and easy to clean thus far. I agree with the other person that it should come in Disney Princess or something similar, because my 6 year old daughter would love one of these, but isn't a big Barbie fan. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a bed for their "big kid" in the parents room.

This bed is great! We started using it when my oldest was 3 and he loves it! It is very easy to inflate (5 mintues with the hand pump) and deflate. It comes with a carrying case and fits in a suitcase. Also, it is very easy to wash. Ours has been all over the world. We are going to buy another for our younger child to use.

Hi, They say you learn from your mistakes. Well I just wanted to let people know that my son's chracter bed cover melted underneath when I dried it in the dryer. When you do wash it, Please let it air dry or really keep an eye on it if you do decide to put it in the dryer. I think it's a great product to say the least. Just wanted to let people know abut this.

I actually bought this for my 2.5yr old son but my 7 yr old daughter loves it more. She only wishes it came in something besides bob the builder and barbie, maybe princess or something.This is a great item, easy to blow up and deflates within seconds. I know my son will love this, just as soon as he gets big sis out of it.
