Excellent Tablet
This is an excellent tablet, but after trying it out I noticed a few things.1. Make sure to get a micro SD card with this if you want to store much media on it. The space is used up fairly quickly with a full OS on a 64 GB hard drive.2. My tablet has an odd issue where my wireless internet disconnects when it is turned off so I need to manually connect to the internet most of the time when I turn the tablet on.3. It can handle some old games ok, It runs Morrowind well and Fable: The lost chapters OK (Fable needs to be set to low settings). I think this is due to pool duel core optimization on Fable. I'm waiting to try some slightly newer games which are more friendly to duel core processors, but I suspect that the graphics chip in this device would have trouble in most newer games. There are a decent amount of games available for tablets in the Microsoft store, and they all run well for me.4. It handles simple takes like word processing and video playing very well. I have only noticed performance issues when installing updates and doing other tasks at the same time.5. Its battery life is excellent. I generally get around 10 hours with brightness around 25% (which is generally bright enough).6. The screen looks good and responds very well.7. The start-up speed is very fast. Boot time is usually under 20 seconds and I have Norton internet security installed which generally slows start-up noticeably.8. I know there are a number of posts regarding the keyboard on this device disconnecting, but I have never noticed that. The keyboard seems to work great. (but it does diminish battery life slightly)Overall this is a great tablet if you need a laptop for basic productivity tasks that has a very long battery life. Windows 8 works quite well for a tablet, and with an SD card you have plenty of storage space.I got this because I have a fairly powerful desktop and I needed a portable device for writing papers and using the internet in college. It seems to be perfect for this purpose.

Piece of junk
If you plan to use wifi with this computer, don't waste your money on this piece of junk. It loads so slowly that it's quite worthless. I bought this for my son to use for school because all of his text books are on-line this year. It takes way to long to load a book. It uses ALL of the wifi in our house so nobody else can get online. He is very frustrated by the amount of time he wastes waiting for books to load and I'm furious that I wasted my money. I bought the computer early in the summer so he would have time to get used to using it but that was also a big mistake. Now I can't return it. What a nightmare!

Very poor performance and very buggy
Very poor performance and very buggy. It was really terrible until I upgraded it to Windows 10. 8.1 was completely unusable. 10 seems to have fixed many problems. Still it's a lousy computer/tablet. I wish I would have saved my money for a surface pro.

It's both better and worse than I expected
This is not a technical review, just a few comments about it from someone used to a PC.The tablet works ok, the keyboard sticks and the touchscreen can be a bit temperamental. Windows 8 is a plus and the 4G is surprisingly convenient.I thought about returning it because of the keyboard and the fact that it crashes more often than it should, but I did not find a suitable replacement.I am sure a better version of this one will be out soon, but I needed a tablet now.

It has it weaknesses, but as far as I've seen, the best product in it's price range
Bads First: The dock has the same connection problems referred to in other posts. I've yet to try to fix it with foam tape like some people have recommended. But Samsung should have caught this way before mass production began. When sitting on a stable surface, I don't really have problems, but on your lap, the disconnection get very annoying, very quickly. Fail on Samsung for this.Another Bad is not on Samsung's turf, but Microsoft's. Sometimes when selecting the search in the sidebar (which you have to use to search for anything in any program), it closes without letting you type and you have to cycle through it a bunch of times before it actually stays open to let you type something in the search bar. Fail on Microsoft, but I'm sure that there will be a fix for this in the future. Now the GOODs: Speed seems fine to me. I've run some CAD programs as well as some photo editing without much problem. The only snag comes to the 3D generation done in the CAD program, but it handles it fairly well for a tablet that can fit in a binder pocket. It gets a little slow, but what do you expect not having an i5 processor?Battery lasts 6-7 hours with constant use streaming data the whole time. With "normal" use it lasts all day with some juice to spare. I haven't noticed any long charge times, but I haven't exactly timed it either.Weight is fine. There are some lighter tablets out there, but there are some heavier ones too. this one I could carry all day, every day without another thought. It is very nice having a full size USB, that opens up your world to so many things that the IPAD can never do. The micro SD functions just fine. I haven't used the HDMI so can't write to that.As for the AT&T data, it works and speeds are fairly good even out in MiddleOfNowhere, TX. Prepare to pay an arm and a leg for it, but it is a necessity for my business and it works very well with sufficient speeds.Windows 8 is ok on a Tablet. They could learn a thing or two from Android and Apple on touch user interface. But it suffices. And it runs all my desktop applications such as Office, CAD and Photo Editing. (pretty much the whole reason I got this instead of an Android)Also, you can download a free android emulator and have the whole android experience on your tablet as well. But, if you're going for true Andriod, buy an Android Tablet, they're cheap enough.Overall it does what I need it to do without many complaints except the keyboard. It is much more convenient than a laptop with most of the same functionality. If the dock had worked correctly, it would have been 5 Stars. Currently it is the best one out there in the less than $800 range. I've used iPAD 2, lenova think pad tablet and the Samsung was the best out of the three.
