I have chronic diarrhea and I have to be careful not to eat anything remotely spicey. I can't tolerate raw veggies or most fruits, plus a whole list of other foods. BANATROL has been a huge blessing for me ! It binds up the watery-ness. I make it into a pudding consistency by mixing an amount of Banatrol with almond milk and mix with a spoon till all absorbed, adding more milk till consistency I like. There are no lumps at all.I remember 60 years ago when my first baby had diarrhea and the Dr. told me to feed him finely mashed up bananas...and it worked!

I Thank Heaven have NOT had C.Diff since I got out a year ago. HOWEVER, I ordered the BIGGEST CONTAINER of this stuff, because when ever my stool isn’t to my liking and gets too liquidy, I drink some of this & it sets things right in no time fast - like within 24hrs for me. I have NEVER had a blockage. I have NEVER had constipation after taking it.It’s supposed to be Banana Flavored, but I don’t really taste it. I saw there is a pineapple/banana & an orange flavor but I haven’t tried them yet.I probably don’t taste the banana flavor because I do not use a blender to mid it up. I just use about an inch of milk, dump the powder in stiit and drink. The powder does NOT combine well using this method *laughs* it is definitely gritty, but I still crunch and chomp it right on down! Because, You can’t argue with the RESULTS! It WORKS! And, I don’t fear I’m ingesting a bunch of chemicals like a lot of other medicinal items. Also, it’s Gentle enough that it’s hard to over dose Oneself, meaning it should be very dufficult to go from diarrhea to constipation!I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this product! There is a reason I paid directly for it & bought the BIGGEST Container available!! Since I have this Ostomy for Life, I NEED this in my Life to keep things Solid, regardless of what I eat or how my meds influence my output!BUY IT! = NO REGRETS!!

I'm giving four stars, it may work for someone, but it didn't work for my mom.The reason I believe it may work for someone is because it absolutely changed the consistency of my mom's ... release. So I know it impacts the bowels somehow, but I actually now believe my mom may have a banana allergy or intolerance of some sort.When mixed with the liquid, it is like dehydrated bananas or something, very interesting.If you know you are not allergic to bananas, I would say it's worth a try.

Received today. Followed online instructions and administered 1 scoop of Banatrol for g-tube feeding. Afterwards, i administered g-tube blended food, meds, supplements and fluid. Within 2 hours, my mother’s very loose stools ceased. My mother tolerated the Banatrol just fine without any adverse side effects. Banatrol is NOT a med. It does not interfere with meds and/or supplements. It’s basically banana flakes with pre-biotics for gut health. Incredible stuff! Highly recommend!

I just started taking this and so I’m leaving the review as is (3 stars)…until I can use this longer and give an honest review if it’s effectiveness.At this point…all other reviewers are right - this doesn’t mix. I use a battery-operated whisk and I still can’t get rid of the chunks at the bottom. So just mix it and chug it - chunks in all (I mix it with milk).As to the flavor…no banana flavor at all (which is fine) - I actually think the chunks taste like grape nuts - which I’m ok with.As to the effectiveness: still waiting on that as I’m on day 2 of its use. Yesterday I did one scoop in the AM to no results. Today I did 1.5 scoops this morning and we’ll see.Lastly, for those wondering what I have or why I’m taking this: I have gastroparesis and dumping syndrome.UPDATE:- I've figured out the "mixing". I now do it with water (no need for milk) and I mix it with 1/3 C of water with a spoon. It will clump up a bit but just mix it and it'll thicken without being "chunky" with left overs. So we're good there!- As for the "help" - it's hard to say at this point because my gut is like a rollercoaster - so I'm never sure what it's going to do. But I'll continue to take it, long term, to find out.- Only "issue" is the cost. If I'm doing 2 scoops a day - this is going to be empty FAST!

Great product! Just be aware if you take it too much it will cause constipation.
