Thick leather, stands up to months of daily use doing construction and hiking. I think, with how it's looking now, it's going to last me at least one year. The only weak points have been stitching onto the sole. I especially got these because of the eyelets all the way up the laces, rather than those dumb hooks.Speaking of, I recommend getting wide (like 1/2in) laces because they don't untie from basic knots.I do oil these boots with water-proofing mink oil once every few months, and I try to keep it clean after a mucky day.

Worth every cent and more. Very well made. Had them longer than any other work boot!
