It was a little tricky to get everything secured and mounted so the recordings were level and centered just right. So far it has been very good and solid, not moving by hitting potholes or vibrations visible on videos. Just a few days back I swerved to miss someone not paying attention and pulling out in front of me, Thankfully I just missed them and the intense movement of the car did not effect the mount at all. Much better than the adhesive mounts if you live in very hot climates where the adhesive wears out and doesn't effect too much visibility as you would imagine. I got this because 1: mounting it by adhesive won't last, and 2: my car has a box housing that the mirror comes off of. This is the housing for the cars IR sensors for lighting the headlights and adaptive cruise control. Because of this adhesive mounting would mean off setting to one side (driver or passenger) and would angle it to left or right because of the window curvature which would bother me :E

This is a great mount for the Blackvue line of cameras.
