good product. at this price m satisfied with its build. at this price u cant exoect hi-fi model. use it carefully and it will last as in my case i m still using it. the sound reduction though is a little disappointment. still at this price it helps in concentration very well. use it with earplugs that u get for 100-150 sold by other seller in amazon and combine dthey work just great. i used with my headphone. my headphone plugged in ear and over that this ear muff. and it worked amazingly. well for this price i m quiet happy

I bought these to block environmental sounds while I study. They are quite effective as they block most motorcycle, car, feet shuffling and people talking in normal volume sounds. But there are still tiny sounds that you can hear. The problem is the quality. 3M is know for it’s brilliant quality but this product is really cheap and the quality has been compromised on. The headset is made of cheap plastic and it’s uncomfortable to wear. The cushions are cheap quality and irritate the skin. I’d say go in for this is you want to try it. The more expensive ones are much better. You can also try the earplugs which are cheaper and more effective than this, but uncomfortable.

I was searching the best possible headphones or other things for a quite long time so that I can study without any disturbance. I tried audio technica mx50, sennheiser hd280 as they both are most close competitors in terms of sound isolation. My budget didnt allowed me to test sound cancellation headphones.In case of sound isolation sennheiser is much better performer if you dnt like to listen to music at all or u usually prefer low sound music while studying. But you cant wear it for long time as hd 280 has a tight grip on your head. Mx50 is total waste of money if you want headphone only for studying purpose as sound isolation is avg. And its bit heavy to otherwise if you are a music freak then definitely go for mx50 as the sound it produces is unmatchable.But truly if u want these headphones only for studying purpose and truly isolate you from outside noises (dog bark, fan, running water, neighbour's fight, and to much extent d.j. parties) without any music then please dnt waste ur money on these headphones and buy only 3M 1426 Ear Muff. I got for rs 280 only much much much much....... cheaper and lighter then these headphones and provides better sound isolation then them. I buy the cheapest model from 3M as first I wanted to test their pdt and I have got what I needed. One can also think of buying better models of earmuffs from 3M.

I bought this for my DIY woodworking and metal fabrication projects that involve using all kinds of power tools. I was worried about developing tinnitus due to loud noise exposure. I'm very pleased with these earmuffs. They provide ample noise cancelation and are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. At the same time there is enough ambient sound pass-through to provide some situational awareness. As many reviewers have already pointed out, my only concern is with the durability of the plastic headband. Although it appears sturdy enough, I suspect it might break after a while. But a little bit of careful handling should help extend the life. All considered, this is a must have for any DIY enthusiast.

I received this parcel two days in advance which reflects the impeccable amazon delivery.Now, coming to the product. The product is decent in its ability to completely drown any sound/noise which would otherwise bother you. My noisy fan and an equally competitive loud laptop both were silenced effortlessly by the earmuff. My neighbors have annoyingly loud kids and that hinders my long study hours which has been minimized to a satisfactory level. I won't say it completely suppresses those noises but yes, you are not able to figure out who's batting or bowling turn it is, once you wear them.Previous reviews made me a bit skeptical about its low plastic quality which indeed is evident and as a result have been very cautious when wearing or removing it. Once you have worn it, it fits tightly on your head and I have a pretty big head! The size would not be an issue and the picture is not deceiving.The only drawback perhaps would be the low quality material used to cover those cushioned muffs. If you wear them for long hours, your ears miraculously start to sweat more than usual and thus would force you to remove them after a while before it gets all messy.In a nutshell, it serves the purpose you will buy it for. So go ahead and divorce from all things remotely related to annoying noises.btw i like kids, only when they are sleeping.

I lived in a place where I had a place of a certain kind blare out songs 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. This does so-so job with 45 decibel sound. Maybe ideal for ~35 decibel though (you get lot of apps on android to measure decibel level).

I wasn't really paying interest in wearing earmuffs and protecting my ears but after listening to family I felt using power tools for longer periods of time will eventually have an effect on my hearing. I was looking for a pair of reasonably priced Earmuffs to protect my ears when doing woodworking and projects in my garage. Seeing these 3M earmuffs for $9.99 I was curious if these would work. I asked some questions from other amazon customers and was surprised to see a string of answers giving good feedback on these. I had to try these out and I pulled the trigger. This is a decent pair of earmuffs for the price. I cannot hear a single sound when wearing these. I have worn these earmuffs when working on a table saw, miter saw, and a sander and I only hear a faint sound of the motor and these don't bother my ears at all. The earpieces are adjustable and will fit your average head. However I do find it a little awkward wearing them with an eye protectant such as this  DEWALT DPG94-1C Dominator Safety Glasses, Clear Lens  Also, please do not step on these by mistake as the headpiece will snap. Cheap cost and cheaply made, but they work great! They get very sweaty around the ear pads. When I mow my lawn with the Earmuffs on. the sound is reduced by 90%. It's amazing how loud it is when I take the Earmuffs off.

I was sceptical of the quality of these based on the price, but we used them at car races last night and they are surprisingly good! My kids not I had any problems with the fit of them, and the sound of the cars was greatly diminished to a comfortable level. I would recommend these for casual use, and I think the value for my money is quite good.

EDIT... I have since discovered that these are adjustable. I had no idea when I first got them. So they are not as bad as my initial 1 star review, although they could be roomier.

Ear muffs keep breaking off. They need a better mechanism to keep them on while still having the ability to adjust them to fit someone.
