This item was a quality product, arrived quickly, and in good condition. I wasn’t exactly sure what size opener I needed, and this one was wrong size, so I needed to return.

It worked well enough and got the case back off of my Rolex knock off within a minute. The "teeth" did not feel like they were positively engaged and almost felt like they were slipping, but despite the feeling of no grip, it did get the case cover off after several rotations.I chose the knob style thinking that I could remove the case cover without removing the wrist band, I was wrong. The knob is much bigger and taller than I imagined and would not fit with the wrist strap in place, so the T-shaped version may be a better choice if you don't want to remove the strap. This is a value priced single-purpose tool for occasional hobbyist, it gets the job done without big investment, so buy with confidence that it will work, but don't expect it to be a finely machined precision instrument.

It's not often I get asked to work on a Rolex with this kind of grooved case back (although I have worked on some Faulex watches). You can use a case back wrench for it if you are very careful and have the right tips for that wrench. But this case back remover has the right socket for the men's watch casebacks. The only drawback I had with my socket and handle is that the handle's ballbearing for locking the socket in, was a little frozen and I had to loosed it up quite a bit in order for the handle to fit properly. Once it was loose/unfrozen, the handle worked well accepting the socket. The socket grooves also feel a little rough so handle with caution when working on the Rolex. Slipping would create a real problem.

I am just starting out in my watch refurbishing journey andthis looked like a professional and better way to remove stubbornscrew-in case backs.The quality is decent for the price and definitely strong enough for the job.A nice tool for those interested in just changing a battery or in my case taking apart olderwatches so I can clean and repair the case and crystals.

This case opener works well and is fairly well made. Fit is decent, but the finish could be improved. The edges of the case tool are on the sharp side and that could lead to scratches on your case back. In comparison, another one I have has a much better finish with no sharp or rough edges. The hand grip is much larger than it really needs to be. It gives you more leverage, but is quite cumbersome if you do not remove the bracelet.I would classify this as a value tool to have in your watch repair bag. It will last, based on its construction, but the finish and design can be improved.

This is a commercial quality 29.5mm diameter Rolex screw down case back remover. The tool has a 'socket' and handle. Different 'socket' sizes for other diameter fluted case backs are available.It's a simple and easy to use portable tool to not damage the Rolex case back with the improper tools.It's nicely made and decent quality for the job on hand. More affordable than professional lines of tools.
