Update: After a year of using this tape our carpet is ruined underneath. After replacing the tape so many times it has ripped up carpet and left permanent indentations on the carpet.Worked great keeping a rug and runner from sliding around on carpet. We had to replace the tape after about 6 weeks, but the rugs are in a high traffic area.

It works well!
If you have a wedding aisle runner to put down...this is fantastic! Your aisle runner will not move a millimeter. Only down side is that it is very difficult to take off of carpet.

Okay product
Tape was going to be used for reusable period to help keep them from shifting. Worked initially but found the tape didn’t hold through the night and shifting occurred.

Good rug tape
Works well, but be careful if your rugs have the soft non-slip stuff on the back because while this tape doesn't leave residue on the floor it is definitely strong enough to rip that foam stuff off.

Worked great. Used it to hold down the aisle runner fit a wedding

Sticky but not good for carpet on carpet
Tried this to hold a throw rug down on carpet but it doesn't hold the rug down after a week or so of wear. It sticks well to the base carpet, but the top throw rug shifts off of it.

About the thickness of tissue paper.
