Only reason it got one star, was because it arrived in 1 day. I tried to use this seperator on my Mazda 3 steering knuckle and after 3 turns of the wrench, barely any pressure at all, the alignment bar snapped inside... oh well. Tried to go cheap first.. sometimes it's worth it.. but not this time.

These mini strut spreaders strangely range in price from $10 to $35. I believe the only difference is different paint finish. I borrowed a similar tool from a friend of mine, but wanted to have it in my tool set, so I ordered the one that was above the average price expecting better quality.The tool works, but it is of average quality. The two studs are not polished well and the jaws slightly wobble on them. Compressing the tool into initial position needs some force -- the layer of paint inside the holes makes it hard to move jaws by hand. This is likely a temporary problem that will disappear with use. I also expect wobble/play to increase over time.
