We have a room where we store paints, finishes, and other volatile solvents, etc.... and I wanted a new light in an area that was in the shadows of the main light. We rigged this up to an external transformer and set the light where it was needed. Its explosion proof design gives peace or mind (and keeps OSHA off my back) and produces enough light to fill in as hoped.Highly Recommended.

This light is powered by DC current. If you have an existing light chain with a power supply you may be able to just add this to it. Wire it into the existing circuit, otherwise you may need to buy a power supply unit that is for 24 VDC as I did. From one power supply you can connect several light fixtures as long as you do not exceed the max amperage and all lights are of the same voltage; 12 or 24 volt DC. So with that disclaimer out of the way, I think this is a great light that illuminates the area over my drill press very well. When I am able, I will buy my CNC machine and then this will become a light source for it and should do very well for that application as well. I do recommend this light if you are in the market for one especially if you work in areas of high moisture / humidity or ignitable fumes since this is an enclosed unit that is water and explosion proof.

Got this to install in the ceiling over my garage work bench. This works really well and while I hopefully won't need the explosion protection it works great It's nice to have the robustness of this unit if you use it in a shop. It has plenty of light and is very easy to mount into drywall or most anything. You just place the unit, mark your slots, install drywall anchors and screw it down.Be aware the power end of the cord does not come with any type of plug. It's is just bare wire stripped at the ends. You will have to figure out how to wire it into an existing circuit or wire on a plug for the end, if that's what you'll need.It's a nice light that really helps in my shop.

This led tube light is really nice.This light lights up our garage much better than the old florescent tube lights that we had installed originally. I very much appreciate that this light is waterproof and explosion proof too. This light is perfect for work area garages or at a company garage.I believe this is a five star led tube light.

I have to say I have been very impressed by this LED light. I already have a spur box without a connection, so it was pretty simple to wire in (I know what I'm doing, but make sure you are competent if you have not done it before).The best part is that you can turn it so once it's on the wall you can adjust it. Most lights I have used like this before are fixed so you have to get it exactly right from the start. This is forgiving and allows you to get it to spot on with micro-adjustments.

Very well made and super bright, perfect for illuminating the working area in front of the vehicle. The angle of adjustment is simple enough to achieve. And as long as you have some decent fixings and washers, mounting is simple too. My only wish was that the wire it came with was longer, it was just not enough to get it inside the vehicle and therefore weatherproofed. (I had to take the end off and replace it - not hard).

This has been fitted into our garage, it does need hard wiring so you will need an electrician to fit this for you.It is water proof and and explosion proof, our garage can get damp and it is working fine. Thankfully I have not been able to test the explosion proof element of this light.It is bright and lights our garage well, husband is super happy with it.

Considering this LED light is supposed to be waterproof, it was very disappointing to find the condition it was in when removed from its packaging. One of the end caps was hanging off, definitely not waterproof. One of the wires inside was bent, and snapped inside, with some of the wire poking through the insulating sleeve. The cable gland had sheared off, so there is no way this light will ever safely work, and would certainly never be waterproof. Maybe I was just unlucky, and it got damaged in transit, but it does look like somebody has taken it apart, and maybe it was a faulty return that I got sent. I couldn't give this more than one star, because for a product that was supposed to cost £150, it should've been better made, or better protected, or preferably both.

I purchased from Amazon a 240v AC to 24V DC transformer. I plugged it in and hay-ho - a working shed light. Full Marks. Whilst it has an impressive array of features, I guess if I did not have the review lamp, I would have opted for a less expensive light. Five stars for performance and features but down a star for price point.
