Salewa Men's Ms Firetail Evo GTX Low Rise Hiking Shoes

Very pleased with these light approach shoes, they are very well made with a lot of attention to detail, comfortable and cool for trainer style mountain shoes. They come with a very well designed foot bed in two parts that enables you to adjust the volume of the forefoot. I would be cautious using these on steep wet grass slopes though, the tread lacks depth and whilst fine for scrambling on rock and on rocky paths it might be insecure on grass slopes where a traditional Vibram deeper moulded sole might give better secure grip. The fit is a proper mens 43 judging by my feet which usually find themselves just between 42.5 and 43 in shoes, leaving me room for a medium thickness wool walking sock to get optimum fit. I take a 44 mountain boot, and 43 in these gets me a similar quality of fit.

Shoes arrived within the slotted time and initial thoughts as not really worn them is very good, nice and comfortable but only very small gripe is the laces are a bit short.Nice and light.

Perhaps the best shoes I have ever worn. Use them for cycling, 13 miles at a time and walking, up to 6 miles. So comfortable.

3e paire, et je cherche à en racheter. Durée de vie un an en usage intensif (presque tous les jours au pied), très bonne résistance (genre descente de bourrin dans les pierriers), durabilité XXL (pas d'élément fragile comme un bout de semelle qui se casse toujours au même endroit ou bien le tissu intérieur qui se déchire au niveau du talon... Certaines marques se reconnaitront).En gros une pompe parfaite pour la montagne au quotidien (et les trecks, > 1 semaine en Islande l'an dernier avec, parfait).Pour les curieux, je finis par les avoir à l'usure (supination qui ronge la zone extérieure de la semelle), elles s'affaissent alors (comme toute chaussure) et se déchirent sur le flanc extérieur. Rien de grave, elles ont fait leur temps.

Super Qualität , sehr gut verarbeitet und vor allen bequem sitzen für Frühling , Sommer , Herbst und in einen nicht zu kalten Winter habe sie ausgiebig getestet .......auch bei minus 26C im Winter in Davos

This is my second pair of Salewa. My first pair are still very comfortable and holding together very well. Just a bit worn looking. I have worn them no less than four times a week for the past two years! On average I put 16 miles a week on these running trails. Honestly, the only reason I purchased the new pair is because my wife keeps telling me that my original pair look ugly because they have been covered in mud, water, snow and dirt so many times over the years that at this point they have permanent staining of brown. Like I said. ... they look worn out but are perfect in every other way .I am very pleased with my new pair. Phenomenal quality and comfort. I will still use my original pair on rainy / snowy days, but I look forward to wearing out my new pair.These shoes are worth every penny. I have never had any footwear that has been made with such quality.

I ordered size 39 but they feels like 40.After adding an extra sole they feel quite confortable. Good grip and waterproofness.
