Delivered as promised = took it out of the box = plugged it in & worked as indicated = This is my first Emerson radio in 60 years & is playing beautiful right now == the AM/FM dial is accurate. Played it yesterday for 6 hours & maintained its clear sound. I highly recommend this radio to anyone looking for shelf saver. This radio is similar looking to the Tivoli Audio Model One only it does not have the bass woofer built in which makes it lighter in weight. It still has a good sound & again I highly recommend this radio as the volume range is very strong meaning when you turn it on keep the volume down all the way until you tune to a station the bring the volume up very slow as it will get loud very fast. Good radio == Buy & enjoy.

I had the same experience as several other reviewers: The Volume is LOUD and LOUDER! It goes from no sound to waking up the neighbors-loud. No in between. At the loud volume, the speaker distorts so even if you were having a party it would sound crappy. In addition to the loud volume, the unit feels very cheap. I sent it back.

Very good reception loud and clear no distortions whatsoever. I did have problems with those things in the past.Really nice. I’m really enjoying it.

Packing opened and radio removed - discovered that the antenna was broken from the radio - not attached.

It's a struggle to get a low volume out of this thing. I have to very very carefully turn up the knob just as little as I possibly can. Anymore than that and it gets loud fast.Audio quality is good though, and it tunes well.Construction is very cheap. Knobs are flimsy plastic. But hey as long as you view it from a distance it looks good.
