CRAFTERS Professional-Grade Floor Pump – Dual-Head Design, Accurate Pressure Gauge, High-Volume Steel Build, Presta & Schrader Valve Support

We have eight road bikes that we ride regularly plus several more for show or in various stages of construction. These bikes are scattered in different rooms around our house, not counting one I keep in my office at work. I like to have floor pumps handy in each location to make it more convenient to inflate a tire, so I have experience with a wide variety of pumps. For this review, I am comparing it to the pump shown in the attached photo. This arguably is not a fair comparison since that other pump lists for more than twice as much. Both function just fine as pumps but the CRAFTERS pump doesn’t quite measure up in terms of quality. This is immediately noticeable when you use them; the other pump operates more smoothly, the air hose is made of much thicker tubing, the handles are sturdier and the gauge, because of its slightly higher mounting, is easier to read. Because of factors like this, I cannot give the CRAFTERS pump a 5-star review but it does do everything one should need from a bicycle pump and, if I were evaluating in terms of value rather than absolute quality, 5 stars might be justified. The CRAFTERS pump even has a couple of advantages other than price; the hose is longer and it incorporates a small storage unit for some accessories (which I would never use but would otherwise likely lose).

I recently gave my manual bike pump to my son so I jumped at the chance to evaluate this pump from Crafters.Pros: - extra long hose (love this feature!) - hose clips are well placed, hold the hose well but easy to use - gauge is easy to read and appears to be accurate - Ergonomic & easy to use - dual head - place to keep attachments (includes ball needle)Unsure: - only time will tell but the pump is lighter than ones I'm used to. Does that mean it's not solid? Probably not. But it feels less solid.

This pump works great for the price. It's not a high end pump but I was not expecting one. The tip accepts either schrader or presta valves and has adapters for other inflatables included. The walls of the pump are not thick and the pump is light. The gauge works and appears to be accurate when tested against my other pumps. I prefer floor pumps for my bike tires simply because they are easy to use and usually pump air faster. Good pump.
