Community - The Complete Series - Blu-ray

Having this in our catalogue brings me great joy.

Once you open the packaging (which I am not critiquing amazon for) the boxed set (the product that is in fact a boxed set) is not ideally packaged. I mean the DVD's are stacked 2 DVD's to a sleeve. However, the DVD's contain what they say they will and they play just fine. I am just pointing out that the packaging of the product (not the amazon shipping) is not premium. If you were expecting a steel book packaged product or similar you may be disappointed. I think it is important to point this out -- so that there is scope in future for a genuinely premium packaged product. Collectors edition or similar.

But don't think too much. This show is a comedic masterpiece. I particularly like the part in the commentary where Annie mentions how "This scene was a special challenge to all involved".

I'm giving it 4 stars because Community is a great show. And now I have 6 seasons and waiting for the movie. The packaging from Mill Creek Entertainment is pretty bad. It is poorly put together and not in tact. Plus the cardboard sleeves for each disc is so poorly made that the disc get stuck and the sleeves rip. This kind of packaging is common for this company and it's always the same issue with the disc sleeves.

This is one of my favorite shows, so naturally I had to buy the boxset.After reading other reviews, I was concerned about the quality of the show and the boxset.PACKAGE REVIEW: I ended up buying the Sony version, not the Mills Creek version. It arrived a day early, which is always a great start. The outer sleeve was a little beat up, but nothing major. The disc's are in the hard blu ray cases, so there was no damage to the disc's or scratching from cardboard sleeves. There were 12 disc's separated between 3 cases (4 disc's per case, 2 disc's stacked per side). Everything was in good condition with no scratches, or cracks in the casesCONTENT REVIEW: very quickly, this set includes every episode in the series, INCLUDING THE BANNED ONES. Which is nice to see all the episodes. Each episode also includes more scenes then what was on the Netflix version. So you're seeing more then what you might be used to, and it makes rewatching the series better, because you are seeing something new. This set also includes all the bonus features such as outtakes, deleted scenes, and commentary.NEGATIVES: The only thing that disappointed me with this set as a collector was that the "Yearbook" sleeve that was pictured was not included. Not a major deal, but it would have been cool to read all the information on it.Overall, a great deal for this set, and it's a must buy for any Community fans, but you should buy it on sale. I found it on sale for $39.95 instead of the listed $100

An amazing boxset with great extras! I am in the UK and although it says it is the American region it still worked on my PS4 just as another review states. If you love community get this!

The boxset and TV series is great overall. Although, it could be improved through not pilling the multiple disks on top of the others.

To clarify regarding the packaging: there have been two releases of the full series of Community, one in 2016 and one in 2018. The 2016 release is presumably the one that older reviews are complaining about, where the discs are just stacked on a plastic spindle. The 2018 release, which I bought, ships with six cardboard sleeves, each containing two discs that together comprise a season. Nothing revolutionary, but perfectly functional.The series itself is brilliant, of course. But you probably already knew that.:)

Soy un gran fan de esta serie desde hace años, así que cuando vi la posibilidad de tener todos los episodios en Blu-ray no lo dudé. Por desgracia, pese al precio Premium que pagué, la presentación es malísima. Empezando porque el pack viene en un envoltorio de cartón de pésima calidad que tiene holgura cuando los tres volúmenes están dentro; algo que asegura su maltrato y deterioro rápido. Después cada volumen contiene dos temporadas con dos Blu-rays cada uso, pero quien diseñó el pack decidió ahorrar unos céntimos apilando cada Blu-ray para no tener que usar una caja múltiple como cualquier persona normal haría. Pero ahí no queda la cosa, debido al pésimo diseño las manos de quien hizo la revisión del paquete en aduana rompieron la caja de las temporadas cinco y seis. En resumen: NO LO COMPREN

This review gets positive, but first I have to address the packaging. I would’ve given five stars but they doubled up the discs in the cases to save space. The center peg is taller so they can stack two discs in one slot... Mine arrived with very few scratches and still play fine, but there’s no way they’ll stay that way unless I buy replacement cases.Now for content. They did commentary on every episode, which I love. It’s the only reason why I buy seasons. Twice the time with the actors I like. That said, Evette Nicole Brown is a buzzkill on most of hers. She tries to keep everyone from goofing off and having fun. Bloopers were only shown for the first few seasons. They’re hilarious. The deleted and extended scenes were deleted for a reason.I love this set, but don’t like that I have to repackage them because some rich people thought they could save a few bucks.
