Q: Do the pockets fit the charging cables?

The larger of the two pockets do hold the small (44W) Surface Book charger plus a 3 foot micro USB charger - it is a tight fit. I choose not to carry the charger in the case as it places undo pressure against the laptop inside and on the zipper closing the pocket.

The measurements are shown. You need to compare it with the measurements of your device. However, I found the quality poor as the stitching did separate after only a few months, I returned it. Targus makes a more durable du. Keep in mind, I am retired so the case did not see a lot of movement.

No Idea. Designed for Surface. Maybe in clip-on pouch.

Q: Would my macbook air fit if it had a case?

Yup, mine is a 13” and has extra room.
