Classic Child Fun!
If I wanted great literature, I would have ordered a Tolstoy, or maybe an Updike. My 3 year old daughter, on the other hand, doesn't need to know about war (or peace, for that matter) and she is very impressed with George. We watch the PBS show everyday, and you'll find the illustrations in this book are simpler than the show (some might say they're "homely"), but it is clearly George, and I personally think the unpretentiousness is one of the appealing things about the original (and original-"inspired") drawings. The colors are crisp, and the text is nicely laid out. The pages are strong and thick, and my daughter loves to leaf through the book herself in addition to having us read to her. The binding quality seems good, so I think the book will last for years, even with our heavy use.Did I mention this volume is quite inexpensive? This and the complementary volume (the red one) are both significantly cheaper than buying the stories separately. At first I thought I would prefer to have separate stories, but now that we've used both volumes so much, I appreciate having them together, so I can say "ok we'll read two more and then it's bedtime, pick which ones from the table of contents!", etc. Note that the table of contents includes a little picture relevant to each story. It's a small point, but it means she can easily know which story she wants at a glance, without being able to read. Also when we go on trips, two books (instead of several) are easier to keep track of.So far our daughter's favorite is "Curious George and the Puppies". She loves animals, and the suspense about finding the missing puppy is exactly at the right level for a toddler or child. I have no idea exactly what age range the books are aimed at, but as I say, she is 3 and loves them, and I bet she will still be reading them herself at 8 or 10. The idea of Curious George is timeless: he is ageless (although he behaves like a -- very clever -- child), and since he is a monkey it does not strike people as odd that he can wander around in factories, big cities, or the countryside by himself with only the admonition to "be a good little monkey". Curious George is an absolutely brilliant kid's hero in my opinion.Although you can click a link to get the table of contents on Amazon, here are the 8 stories included, for easy reference:1. Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory2. Curious George and the Puppies3. Curious George makes Pancakes4. Curious George Feeds the Animals5. Curious George Goes to a Movie6. Curious George and the Hot Air Balloon7. Curious George in the Snow8. Curious George's Dream

I love these treasury books that give you so many wonderful ...
We are big fans of Curious George at our house! I love these treasury books that give you so many wonderful stories all in one. We have read this treasury (and many others) over and over again - they never get old. They are also great books for beginning readers to read once they can master other books like Biscuit or other 'I can read' level 1 or pre-readers. One thing that I did with my children when they started reading these was alternate. Depending on how confident they are, you can start with alternating sentences and then alternating pages. Another thing that helped my son was tapping my hand when he didn't know a word...then he would continue on after I would read only that word. This helped because he could get pretty frustrated and angry sometimes. After implementing the 'tap,' reading no longer became a chore or something that made you feel bad because you didn't know some of the words. After that, we were just able to enjoy the stories together knowing we might not know every word, and that is okay because sometimes we need a little help. The tap helped because he didn't have to keep saying "I don't know this!!!!" We found that a really easy solution to solve that issue. But back to Curious George...really fun stories for kids and adults alike! And purchasing the treasury books are a cost-effective way to add a ton of books (8 in this one!) to your home library. Highly recommend!

Great reading material for your little Curious George enthusiast...
When shopping for some bedtime reading material for our little one, we came across Curious George Stories to Share and notice that it was part of a series. After owning and reading that book for a few months we decided that it was time to expand upon the number of stories being read at night, so we bought this book. This New Adventures of Curious George book has a good quality hard back binding that is a matte finish. The pages of the book are printed on heavy glossy paper, not easily torn by a toddler, and every page is nicely illustrated. The stories in the book are fun to read and keep our toddler's attention while reading to him. We've owned this book for about six months and, as you can see in the pictures, it is holding up very well.If you're looking for a good series of Curious George books that are made to last, then this is a good buy. The other book that we purchased a few weeks after buying this one, that is part of the same series, is A Treasury of Curious George .If you found this review "Helpful", please click the button below.

Great for bedtimes
We recently started the tradition of reading to our kids at bedtime. We have the yellow curious George book. Once we read all the way through it we figured we’d go ahead and get the blue and the red edition also. We have bought other story bucks to but our kids seem to love curious George the best

Disappointing on kindle
On the kindle you get what is clearly a very low resolution scan of the printed book. The quality is so poor that the text in scanned images is often illegible and instead of fixing this, who ever created this book chose to add the words a second time in text format. On many occasions the repeat is on the kindle page following the one containing the scanned image to which it should be attached making reading this book a disjointed process.Do not buy this in kindle format. Its a real shame because its clear that in paper form it a good series of stories nicely illustrated. It would have been an excellent download for the iPad if only a half decent job had been done of the conversion to electronic format.

Highly recommended
Bought this for my 2 year old son and his dad who also loves this cheeky monkeys escapades. We already have 'A Treasury of Curious George' and this is a great follow up with no repeat stories. Great collection with every story being his favourite, hope there are more in the pipeline as they are his favourite two books.
