Its ok and way cheaper
I took this to Costa Rica and used it on a number of my shots for long exposure and shooting in daylight. I used it on my tamron 24-70mm F2.8. I shoot in RAW and I used a colour checker to ensure my colours will be rendered correctly in post. I got decent, usable shots that I am happy with. I wouldnt have been able to get the shots otherwise. I would recommend this if you dont want to spend $200 + for a good one. I purchased the Cokin P Series Grad filter kit after and am happy with the performance of those and is a better option for a few bucks more.

Sorry I waited to buy one!
I have had the filter long enough to wonder why I didn't get one years ago. It is very easy to use, particularly in changing light, On my Sigma 24-105 lens the guides end up on the bottom when tightened but, through experience, it is no trouble to check the exposure and turn the outer ring to increase or decrease the amount of light allowed through the sensor. In short it is a good, sturdy, piece of equipment easy to install, easy to use and I can carry it in a front side pocket, when it is inside the included protective case, with little concern. It is glass, however, and subject to the same impact/scratch possibilities that would damage any other glass filter.

A fine inexpensive Variable ND Filter
This ND filter works fine for the money. The construction is adequate. It does not appear to add any distortion to my photos. It works well for taking long exposures, which is probably why you're buying it in the first place. Getting smooth and creamy tides and waterfalls are a breeze.

Every photographer needs one. It makes those silky moving water shots. It allows you to make longer exposure shots in bright light. But, do not stack this filter with a CPL. It is just a tool, and needs practice to become fully familiar with it.

okay for the money
This is an okay filter. It works great until you get about half of the way up and then it has really bad distortions and uneven filtering. A really good filter of this type will cost several hundred dollars, so this is ok for the cost.

nicely done for the price
I also have the 52mm and it has not issues at all - but the 82 does have some color changes in corners - but for the price, well worth it to play around with.

Vivitar Variable Ndx ND filter
The Vivitar Variable Ndx Neutral Density filter is a high quality filter which will eleminate the need to carry multiple ND filters. Just turn the ring and dial in the desired settings needed. This is not a split ND filter, but solid grey color which can be set from ND-2 thru ND-1000, to control any lighting environment. A must for every photographer.

Waste your money - buy this.
useless for ND past 2 stops - makes everything look out of focus - Went back and bought Tiffen - Use this one as a drink coaster. Works well for that.
